OT: Game 7 Detroit vs Phoenix. May the best team win

Submitted by the_big_house 500th on

Well here we are. Game 7 of the opening round against Phoenix is upon us on this morning. I just want to say to the Phoenix fans on this board that if you're team is victorious over our's tonight then good luck to you in the 2nd round. It has been a very strenuous and difficult series but also a high scoring one. May the battle of the desert be won on the ice and by the best man. I'm hoping for Detroit to come out and play with passion, aggression and precision to achieve victory. Tonight we can not leave anything for granted. We must leave everything we have on the table and hold nothing back. Howard must play the greatest game of his career tonight and help to lead us to victory. Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Franzen, Filpula and everyone else all know that they have to step it up one more notch tonight and I am confident they will. In game 7, failure is not an option, it's a choice. Win or go home.

Don't sportswriters use paragraph breaks once in awhile? Occasionally, things that are unreadable become almost palatable with a little bit of white space. Cleaning up the incorrect use of homonyms would help, too.

Then, he can work on using the third person instead of using "we" when writing about "his" team.

Just because your buddies seemed to get all pumped up by your speech last night doesn't mean you should try it out here.

Phoenix captain Shane Doan practiced Monday and will be a game-time decision, and if the Wings look like they did in Game 6 - tonight, they don't deserve to win this.

I doubt that happens.
