OT- FYI for anybody with the 360 version of NCAA 12

Submitted by MGoBlue96 on

I just read over at Operation Sports that the community rosters will be available at 9:00 pm tonight.  In addition to having all the players named this roster also has a ton of corrections, including players being removed from teams who should be, position switches, equipment on the majority of the teams being correct, and corrections to team's depth charts. They mentioned some minor rating changes as well, and normally they are pretty spot on with roster or at least better than the default ones. I would assume they bumped down UM's defensive rating a little bit, but it's not like that isn't fair.

You can download the roster from this gamertag at 9:00 pm:

Does anyone know if these will be more accurate than the rosters of pastapadre? I've used those and they seem fairly accurate so far, although I haven't looked into it too much

be. I have used these rosters the last two years, and they are most accurate rosters I have seen. Granted they aren't perfect and this is only the first version, and they will be releasing another version or two with any additional corrections from version 1. Version 1 though should still be accurate for the most part, most corrections in later versions are normally pretty minor. If you don't need the rosters 100% correct, Version 1 whould be fine.

I found a decent roster set yesterday and spent some time editing it.  I uploaded it to my locker at "DiZZO35" if you want to download it for 360.  The community ones will probably be better overall, but I made quite a few Michigan edits to make sure the right players had dreads, got rid of all the calf bands, and removed some players and added others.  I may have gone a little too homer-ish making Rawls a 79 overall, but tried to stay reasonable (like changing Michael Shaw from the same speed at Stephen Hopkins, 87, to a 92 since he is one of the faster kids on the team).

they probally made  the majority of those changes to Michigan as well in terms of equipment and removing or adding players. One of the guys who does them is a Michigan fan who seems very knowledgable, so I am sure he was the one who worked on Michigan. Of course I will go in and edit Michigan again after downloading the community rosters , since he probally didn't make all the changes that I would like to see made or in case they made any I don't agree with.

In the roster I have been using I have  Shaw's speed increased like you, moved Cam Gordon to LB, removed Vlad from the roster, I lowered Smith's speed and acceraltion, raised Devin Garder to a 84 and lowered JT Floyd so that he would be rated lower than Courtney Avery. I'll just go back and make those changes again, if the community roster doesn't have them alreeady. Cam Gordon moved to LB and Vlad removed are changes that I have no doubt they made, since the depth charts are usually spot on for the most part.

Just bought the game and am pissed that Denard doesn't have dreads. I can't find anyway to edit the dreads in. Anyone know?

there isn't a simple on/off option for them, so they can't applied to any of the faces. Really sucks, but that the way it is. For Denard you can't give dreads at his current weight without giving him the medium skin tone(which isn't close for Denard). The only solution is to increase his weight to 216 lb's, which will give more face options, and a couple have the correct skin tone with dreads.

edit Denard to Medium-4 or you can do what I did and change Vincent Smith into Denard by changing his rtgs (and vice versa). Since VS already has the dreads as a default you can do this. (Denard has to be exactly 6 ft, 189 though or it wont work. Any heavier or taller and you lose the dreads for some reason). Hope this helps

that looks nothing Denard. I made Denard  216 lbs since that gave you more face options, and than lowered his arm build and chest build  so he didn't look any bigger. I did that based on a suggestion from somebody at OS, but your solution is better since 189 is only 4 pounds off in terms of his actual weight.

i seriously hate this fucking game.  every year i hope it'll get back to the level it was in 04-06.

its waaay too easy to run, qbs long ass realease and safeties jump routes like crazy,  not to mention if someone wants 5 free yds every play they can have it by calling hike until the d jumps even if you set your d-line to conservative...

And how the FUCK does the most notorious player with dreads in the NCAA not have dreads?!?!?!??

you mentioned, but the running being too easy thing can be adressed by adjusting the running and run defense sliders.

Obviously the game isn't perfect, but I think this is best NCAA in a long time.  The improvements from last year may not be huge, but some of them make a big difference(like the CPU QB actually being capable of scrambling here and there).

Edit: roster is available now

downloaded pastapadre's roster. I just downloaded this one that you posted. How do I use this new roster? I can't find where to delete the pastapadre roster.

How do I know if I am using the new roster? Does this new roster still say Woolfolk is "Woolfork"?

I don't really agree with some of the ratings. Depth chart looks pretty good for the most part, except for at RB.

-Hopkins for some reason is  rated the highest among the RB's at 87, Cox is second, Shaw 3rd  and Smith is all the way down at 6th and is a 77. They also gave Hopkins 91 speed and 96 acceleration. I am going to have edit the Rb's and the depth chart as I don't agree with this one at all. Not sure what they were basing that depth chart on.

-Floyd is still rated higher than Courtney Avery at a 84, and both C. Johnson and Kovacs are overrated at a 82 and 89. I am shocked that they didn't drop Kovac's rating at all.

- They have Jake Ryan starting over Cam Gordon at LB. I know Ryan got alot of playing time in the spring game, but I was under the impression that Cam was ahead of him at LB

- Delonte Hollowell is rated ahead of Blake Countess, don't agree with that either.

-They also went the Denard to medium skin build  route in order to give him dreads, no way am I going to leave it like that.

These are still probally the best rosters available for the 360, for all the teams, but I am definatly going to have to make a good amount of edits to Michigan. These don't seem quite as good as their past rosters.

to Michigan using the community one as the base, mainly the changes that I listed in my previous post that I thought should be made to the community one. The community one had alot of players equipment wrong and there was a handful of players who had the wrong skin tone. I also made some rating changes, including to a handful of the freshmen and reordered the rb depth chart somewhat.

I  tried changing Denard's skin tone from medium, and was going to change him into Smith and than Smith into Denard to give him dreads with the right skin tone. Problem is the community one was missing Smith's dreads and there was no way to give him them with the dark skin tone, just like Denard on the  default roster. I  ended up just increasing Denard's weight so I could give him dreads with the dark skin tone. He doesn't look any different  and weight doesn't matter for gamplay anyways.

My gamertag is SilentAssasin84 if anybody wants to check out the changes I made to the community one to see if they might want to use it, rather than the base community one. Still stratching my head, why the default community had Hopkins rated like a speed back, instead of a power back.
