OT: Future of Broadband
A nice article in the times about the FCC's plan to possibly change how broadband is distributed. The future of communications is going to become an increasingly important topic as spectrum limitations become prevalent.

Broad band? I have to use wireless with a booster. Only five gigs a month too!
I'm excited to see what happens with this if the government doesn't mess it up. It's not hard to see that the current situation just isn't scalable to the level of use that will be required of it eventually.
This problem, along with the digitization of all medical records, smart grids, and pretty much everything else you see in the IBM commercials are going to be fascinating to watch develop.
People are beginning to realize all of the possibilities of this technology and I personally can't wait to see what happens.
