OT: Fundraising to Rescue Puppies

Submitted by GBOD79 on
First off I want to thank those of you who have donated already. Your generosity is appreciated. Secondly I wanted to post a picture of the puppies you are helping so here they are: Those are the best pictures I have. The last one is the best one to see how emaciated the puppies were. At the same time their bellies were full of worms which distended their stomachs. It was a heartbreaking to see. The good news is that they are all rescued. However, the vet bills have surpassed 1000 dollars and they all have to be spayed yet. Please contribute to this cause and help save these puppies. We have raised 960 of 1500 needed. I am also travelling to Michigan in June and if any of you are looking to adopt I would be able to help with transportation from California to Michigan. Thank you all! I foster dogs occassionally, and it's a difficult job. We had one that was so thin that the vet told us to give her double food--which gave her horrible diarrhea that she was nice enough to spread around the house. They're really cute dogs.

I truly would love to adopt them. However, as a college student it may be tough. First, i have to check with my future housemates. assuming they are fine with it i really like my chances if the dog being in a college house is ok. I grew up with one dog (who is now 12!) and i have had another for the past 3 years. Dogs have always been my favorite animal considering they are adorable and badass. so i will have to get back with you on the issue once i get word from them

Do ask your roommates. However, there is a pretty strict adoption process. There is an application, followed by a home visit. With the home visit everyone who lives in the house must be present and willing to meet with a representative regarding the care of the animal and what not. There may also be follow up visits afterward to see how everything is going. I just wanted to let you know ahead of time in case this is too much for you or your roommates. We take the care of the animals we adopt out very seriously.
