OT: FSU QB to graduate/transfer
I realize that this is a long shot for Michigan (because he's probably looking to start somewhere) but QB Clint Trickett is going to graduate in May and transfer from Florida State.
Trickett has played in 17 games so he has some experience. He might be a good fit at Michigan....I just don't see it happening.
An interesting side note: His father, Rick Trickett, is the offensive line coach at FSU.
MOAR QBs NAOW!
It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!!!
Peanut Butter Jelly Time!!!
Peanut Butter Jelly Time!!!
(Where he at?)
USF and WVU are the likely schools for him.

I hope that there is a new thread every time a QB is going to transfer.
Wisconsin, here he comes!!
Kid is supposed to be a top 2015 prospect...DE/OLB type.
Steve also says ATH Garrett Taylor may make the trip, too.
Good things.
It'd be nice, but the presence of Devin(rightfully) is going to give a lot of graduate transfers pause. If we're getting anyone it would be a juCo guy, but even that is iffy.
A side note: His father, Rick Trickett, is the offensive line coach at FSU.
He won't be happy being a backup, and I would describe his talent level as "pedestrian" at best. I hope he succeeds somewhere, but it won't happen at a major program.
clutch. I wish him well.
My Temple Owls could use a QB.
Philadelphia > Morgantown
Philadelphia > Tampa
For the edification of the board -
Clint Trickett is 66 for 106 for 947 total passing yards in his limited time, with 7 passing TDs and 4 INTs. He actually also has 1 rishing TD in his time at FSU despite a career rushing yardage total of -31. Per SportsReference, he saw far more action in 2011, as that is where all 7 passing TDs and 4 INTs come from, although his sole rushing TD is from this past season. His passer rating to date would be 151.6.

Anyway, Trickett's dad was the OL coach at WVU while Rodriguez was there.

The only realistic options for graduate transfers who have QB experience, NCAA eligibility, better skills than either Brian Cleary or Alex Swieca and a willingness to understudy Devin Gardner while preserving Shane Morris’s redshirt may come from some of the FCS schools where academics are a priority and acceptance to a MIchigan graduate program would not pose a problem - like the Ivies, the Patriot League and the Colonial Athletic Association. If none of those schools produce a willing and able transfer, then it looks like either (a) Cleary and Swieca will have to be holding the ropes next season or (b) Shane Morris will have to get prepared quickly to start in case of emergency.
Unless Devin Gardner performs so well in 2013 that he should become a first round NFL draft pick in 2014, Gardner, Morris and Russell Bellomy (unless he transfers if he suspects that he never would have another chance to start for Michigan) will be giving Wilton Speight (unless he opts to flip to N. C. State*) a redshirt season in 2014.
