OT: FSU players had their cars keyed and tires slashed
This is incredible, the Seminoles win 29 straight games and a NC, but lose a game and their fans go nuts:

No doubt that the Tallahassee PD will be all over this. Great quote from the article, "But as we’ve all seen on Twitter, the Florida State fans aren’t always the most reasonable and logic fans so maybe this is on me for being shocked by this behavior." There was a thread about dumbest fanbases, Seminoles' fans may need to be on top. Can't they be more civil and just burn couches!

This happened TO the players so they can actually investigate it.

it was probably the angry feminists who did it

Reminds me of the scene from Friday Night Lights where Billy Bob Thornton's character comes home after a loss to find For Sale signs stuck in his front lawn. Disgusting.

Jefferson's going to really make Lincoln pay for this.

Suspect? This is the court of public opinion. He's guilty until proven otherwise... by at least five tribunals and the US Supreme Court. Even then 50% of the population will still believe he is guilty.

but I wonder where the players will get the money for the repairs.

It was probably one person, and who knows if it was even a fan.

It doesn't really matter if it actually happened - it's an Internet meme now, so it's an accepted part of popular culture.
You need to let go of this 20th Century need to verify everything. In the social media culture of our times if it's "published" - no matter how tenuous the source - then it's real. Ergo Noles fans are idiots and belong on the list of Dumbest Fans!

The fanbase and players deserve each other. 80 percent of the team didn't shake hands with Oregon.

Remember Michigan players have not always covered themselves in glory, especially recently, and our fans are not always the most rational either at times. Myself included

That article contains some hilariously poor writing. Can't the person proofread at least a little? It's only a few paragraphs.

Ahhh the seemy underbelly of College Football. People take this shit way to seriously. Losers live vicariously though whatever team the allege to "support". Sad.

Of all the papers, the Los Angeles Times did a little digging - LINK
Per their article, reports were filed by two FSU employees regarding the vandalism, but there's no clear timeline for when this actually took place, per the investigating officer. Given that the campus police are involved in Tallahassee, logic dictates that this will get talked down to vehicular malfunction and the now flat tires and scratched panels will be ticketed but not get points on their license.

Most fair-weather fans in college sports are FSU and Miami. Doesn't really surprise me, even if it turns out that at least some on the vandalism was done by rival fans.
