OT: Frosty Westering has passed away
One of the all time CFB greats has passed today. I see many of his ideals in the Michigan program and team ethic. I didn't realize this but evidently he lettered in football at NU. Rest in peace Frosty.
Frosty quote - there's many more of these...
"How a man plays the game shows something of his character; how he loses shows all of it."
Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2005, Frosty is one of only 11 college football coaches who have won at least 300 games. This group – a who's who of collegiate football – includes (in order of wins) John Gagliardi, Eddie Robinson, Joe Paterno, Bobby Bowden, Amos Alonzo Stagg, Paul "Bear" Bryant, Charles "Pop" Warner, Roy Kidd, Frosty Westering, Tubby Raymond and Larry Kehres.

Isn't he now behind Bowden?
and currently coach high school football with one of his former quarterbacks - he was a phenomenal person. I attended a rival school who competed with PLU for national titles every year and we have nothing but respect for him and his program. They do not make men like him very often. College football has lost a legend.
I actually have a copy of Westering's book - "Make The Big Time Where You Are" - and if you're looking for innovative ways to influence others, in sports or business or wherever, it comes highly recommended. I only knew of Frosty Westering because of his run at Pacific Lutheran, but when I read the book, the success was easy to understand. Thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.
