So what's in everyone's glass tonight? I'm currently sipping on a Funkwerks Tropic King Imperial Saison, and I have a bottle of Stone RuinTen for later.
this may be of some local interest
Just finished the week hitting my mid-year sales quota which in turn calls for multiple glasses of High West Double Rye on the rocks!
How's it compare to say, Crown Royal?
I like it more than Crown. If you have ever had Basil Hayden, Blantons, or Bookers this is very similar. Great sipping whiskey. Highly recommend it.
just hit mine as well. By less than 1% of overall objective. Bitches be owing me a cool $5k on 7/15.
Just got back from walleye fishing Saginaw Bay - fish are cleaned, patio fire is stoked, and I'm sipping Buffalo Trace on ice. Have a couple hours of work next week total, getting primed for some serious fuck off time.
Nice work! I've had Buffalo Trace, very tasty stuff.
Mid-year sales quota on the Friday before Monday July 1st? Congratulations!
Tell me about it. Very stressful week to say the least!
A Zombie Dust. I have so much beer in my stash I need to start drinking more
Jealous. Never had one but I hear good things...
It's a good brew. Kinda similar to Lagunitas IPA or maybe Short's Controversiale with the citrus up front. Probably use the same/similar Simcoe or Casade hops.
I was going to save them, but in honor of your avatar, I think I'll have to have a few Huma Luppa Licious tonight! One awesome brew there!
Indeed. In honor of the prior guys comment, I am having a zombie dust as well.
Citra based. So good
The official beer of the French Foreign Legion. I know, the French, right? The Legion is legit. If you're looking for a good read, check out "Legion of the Lost," by Jaime Salazar.
with a legion airborne detachment years ago. Badass motherfuckers.
Sitting in the shadow of Anheuser Busch drinking Magic Hat #9. People in St Lous are way too in love with Budweiser.
Its like Ford and GM in Detroit, only those are reasonalby well made cars. I can't say the same for AB.
Oberon, nuff said its summer!!!
Diet root beer. I like to let loose once in a while.
All right Coach Belein.
Vernors and eating the Jalapeno burgers from White Castle.
Johnny Walker double black and vanilla coke. Having a party at my house tonight, I'm quite excited.
Address or it didn't happen.
A toast to your party being a smashing success! Evan Williams on my side ... straight ... I'm poor.
Just got home from coaching football practice, some lagunitas ipa's with dinner and jack and coke tonight. A fantastic day indeed
Jack and coke. Nothing special, but hits the spot.
A glass of cheap red wine from a box. I love it.
interchanged with glasses of water followed later tonight with a bottle of flavored vodka I picked up 40% off and Sprite. Gotta keep it classy.
Although I managed to do the last few hours of this at home while keeping my kids in check, I just got off a few extra hours of storm-related work and conference calls - we still have more than 100,000 out in our territory, and I'll be at work all weekend most likely. For the moment, however, I am off the clock and with my kids watching baseball as they wind down.
Sam Adams' Summer Ale here - very refreshing and much needed after a hectic day.
I just left Ashley's. They had a Founders party on Tuesday therefore they had some good brews on tap. I had a Foundeds Rubaeus, a couple Founders Imperial Stouts, a Kuhnhenn DRIPA and a cup of Dansk Mjod Viking Blod. Feeling good to say the least.
Doom, Bolt Cutter and Backwoods on Wednesday. I sampled a few. Nothing better than walking in and not realizing all the semi-rare things on tap
BTW OP, Stone RuinTen is on tap at Ashley's tonight. Not sure if you are local or not.
Not local, but thanks anyways! I had to drive an hour to Ft. Collins, CO to obtain this delicious DIPA.
RuinTen is a malt bomb this year.
Finishing off a case of local Harpoon IPA seems like the right choice.
Flying Otter Merlot
Some Syrah, Cab blend. It's okay
Stillwater Artisanal Cellar Door, farmhouse ale(Saison)
Cream Ale while watching the Tigers.
Pretty sure you mean watching Miguel Cabrera.
Just left Wolverine tap room, where I had a large and much-needed Drag Me To Helles. My favorite thing they brew there. It's a maibock, and they normally are out of it by now. But they've expanded a bit recently. I'm on a schedule tonight, so I only had the one. But I brought a growler home with me.
Can't drink toooo much tonight. Need to save my liver for German Park tomorrow.
I'm uncomfortably energetic
full of MENERGY
Already down one Vandermills Totally Roasted cider, moving on to Hoppy Boch from New Belgium, then maybe Hog Heaven from Avery if I'm still feeling particularly spry
Hennessy w/ a little ginger ale. Also good with a little apple juice, of course. I consider myself a highly refined drunk, as you can all clearly see.
Ugh, clearly it's getting to my head. Double post - please delete.
Stone Old Guardian verticle 2010-2013
I've drank a summer ale, a stout, a sarsaparilla, and a lager... I'm diversified like a portfolio!!
earlier this year. A nice micro brewery....
With an occasional Lo-Carb Monster and Three Olives Dude Vodka. Gotta watch the carbs...
Just got back from the beach and will probably grab something from my New Belgium mixed pack after the kids are tucked in...
Had a Makers on the rocks, now on to Founders Dirty Bastard. Honestly it does NOT go well with this orange sherbet flavored gum.
Just Heineken tonight. Wife's giving me the silent treatment and I'm loving it...lol.
When my wife does that to me I give her the loud treatment.
Central Waters Peruvian Morning
Oro de Calabaza growler with the pops
and watching King of the Hill.
You should really be drinking an Alamo then!
Cynic Ale - local to MN and quite delicious a rare perk to loving in south Canada.
The King of Beers
These weekend drinking threads are giving me a groundhogs day complex..
I'm trying to lose weight so I'm avoiding beer. Had a glass of wine with dinner and then some bourbon straight here in a few.
The lady made some sangria for her birthday. I'm a beer guy but enjoying something different. I'll get some good drafts later when we head out for her bday.
Fishing for sharks with my son on a North Carolina pier, sipping on Tennessee Honey.
Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone: you're not supposed to drink on the pier, shark fishing is prohibited, and junior is just a freshman at Michigan. We're breaking all kinds of laws tonight.
The kid is a fishing machine. He's been that way for as long as I can remember. However, he developed his taste for the top shelf in West Quad this year. He and a couple of the football players have exquisite taste.
Now, what's it gonna take for you to turn around and pretend you didn't see anything?
Coors Lights. Got soaked on the golf course, but continued drinking. Now watching Sopranos. Happy Friday.
Brewery Vivant Zaison, and Contemplation. Zaison was slightly metallic tasting but I still enjoyed it. Hennepin still wins for that style beer. Contemplation was so original and so goods. The honey and hop played so nicely together but yet it was completely different than hopslam. Delicious. I'd buy it again.
Kilchoman Machir Bay. Neat.
