Going hipster with the Oberon. Go blue, kick 'Cuse's ass.
this may be of some local interest
Going hipster with the Oberon. Go blue, kick 'Cuse's ass.
If you actually enjoy that style then go with a Witsun.
These drinking threads don't live up to the one Saturday thread during the big ten tourney. That one was epic.
It's only hipster if it's awful and is only partaken in due to irony. Ie, riding a fixed gear bicycle, listening to a Walkman, or listening to Mumford and Sons.
Oberon is more trendy or you could just say, good.
What is wrong with a little Mumford & Sons during a twilight drive?
Nothing, if you like shitty fake bluegrass with the same shitty banjo riff in every godamn song. Or if you are cool with a band that, when questioned why their songs all sound the same they replied, (and I paraphrase) "well, Bob Dylan made a career out of it, so we can too."
Fuck Mumford and Sons.
Ohh. A banjo snob.
So you're one of those.
You don't know what you're doing....
Hipster would be naming off some no name microbrew that no one cares about (not one of the most famous ones) while also mentioning how Oberon is overrated and got ruined when "everyone" started drinking it.
Purple drank. Imma grip and sip.
Thought for the team tomorrow? Have fun, and realize that you only need to play really well (as opposed to perfect) to win. This is your moment, cherish it, but first and foremost have fun on the court.
I'm going to a nice beer bar in town tonight. I'm not sure what I'm going to enjoy--perhaps a nice Hefeweizen to celebrate the onset of the spring weather.
I'm drinking Erdinger Hefe tonight
Homemade ipa....once it hits ur lips
Buffalo Gold, imported by Subaru from glorious Boulder.
As soon as I get home. I don't know which one yet, but I will keep you advised.
So I'm going with Old Pulteney 21.
Lakefront Brewery- Riverwest Stein Beer. Then perhaps a Bulleit manhattan.
Zombie Dust again
Sticking to the bottled water, I have to drive to Atlanta tonight
I found some Imperial Stout from Left Hand Brewing and I am sipping on that. It has a fairly appropriate name for a southpaw like me, but it actually is a pretty good stout.
I'd also recommend their Milk Stout as well. I had it on tap (nitro) last night, and it was delicious.
Shipyard Applehead Ale drafts.
First time having it, and I'm thoroughly impressed.
great change of pace drink.
Yeah and they go down so easy.
I just had a 6 inch cold cut on wheat. It was crazy.
...12 year Talisker...tasty Islay.
I'm a Lagavulin devotee, but I have fond memories of the bottle of Talisker I got a couple of years ago. After this bottle's gone I may switch it up just for variety's sake.
Bell's Midwest Pale Ale.
Because Michigan beers bring Michigan victories... (or so goes the plan)
was telling Juwan Howard he was going to go on the Cosby show, only to crush his dreams later
(b/c it lifted us against kansas) cabo wabo silver tonight, tomorrow, and monday...i'm screwed
Chivis. Nervous. Beat Cuse.
i'm still at work!
Boddington's Pub Ale while I make some pretty good Sloppy Joes ... a recipe from Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives.
Drinking gin and tonic on the flight down to ATL!
Water... I have a half marathon to run at 6:30 am tomorrow. I bought all the ingredients for some spicy bloody Mary's after the race though.
Right now a Nantucket Nectars half and half. Later beer. I'm inspired by the woman I saw outside of Mobil on the Run drinking a Corona and hanging out with her pit bull. Although I must say I will choose a better beer.
Driving down to Atlanta now! So some faygo for now.
Raison D'Etre. At 26 years old, this is my first Dogfish Head of any variety. I lead a sheltered life.
Very very good beers. My favorite is definitely 90 minute ipa or aprihop
And it may be the reason why I have avoided Dogfish Head for so long. I am not an IPA guy. I've tried many, but I just can't find any that I like.
Headed to Turks and Caicos early in the morning, just relaxing with a few Buds tonight. Nothing special
Trying to drown out all the haters down here in Auburn Alabama by drinking some of The Glenlivet 12. Getting tired of those saying they are rooting for Syracuse because their colors match. GO BLUE!
I'm saying cheers to Syracuse disrespecting us, the media disrespecting us, the Tourny officials for under-ranking us, and ESPN and Jay Bilas for disrespecting us! The haters can't stop Trey and the team. They're going to shock the world! These guys are ballers!
Old guys don't say "ballers"
but he plays one on MGoBlog.
Never had it before, a local brew for me (Boston). Pretty solid.
22oz Ruination and playing NCAA Football 13 after a long day of work. I wish they still made NCAA Basketball games so I could play in preparation for tomorrow.
IPA. Wonderfully good!
and a Canadian.
Glad to be back from spring break. I'm fried, and beat down from too many early wakeups (my own fault for chasing trout and redfish on early tides all week).
Buffalo Trace here too.
Dirty blonde six pack
in Waterbury, Vermont. Packs an extra little kick at 8%.
If I'm still up late may finish with a couple fingers of Lagavulin.
I have a redbird by big buck brewery tonight, and a couple bottles of KBS for the game tomorrow.
Hell or High Watermelon.
Bell's Two Hearted.
And then another Bell's Two Hearted.
Bicardi Oakheart & Coke Zero
I ended up finding a Revolution Brewing Bottom Up Wit can hiding in my fridge and a couple 3 Floyd's Pride and Joys. Finished those and now on to the Zombie Dust, not a bad Friday night at home. By the way if anybody is in Chicago visiting I highly recommend either visiting Revolutions brewpub or picking up some while in town. Great beers from a brewery that is fairly new to the scene.
A cement mixer. Do not recommend to anyone.
I was 19 and in a bar in Windsor. We were playing shot challenge with our friends across the bar. It started nice, Washington Apples, Vodka, whiskey, but it got ugly quick. The last shot of the night was sent to my friend and I, a Mexican Wrestler chased by a Cement Mixer...I filled my draft glass with vomit and it spilled over onto the bar, my friend was lucky enough to make it outside before he spilled his guts. That was shortly after a 1997 UM National Title, oh what a night!
To take this post to another spectrum. What are you all listening to while imbibing?
Whiskeytown- Strangers Almanac for me.
Homebrew simcoe single-hop IPA. Maybe a Bridgeport Smooth Ryed later on.
Tired so Irish coffee. Better question is where you drinking. My answer is sadly neither Atlanta nor the airport.
Guinness while watching Bering Sea Gold.
At Solemn Oath brewery in Naperville. Enjoyed some YarnBomb (cascadian heffeweizen) and Kidnapped by Vikings (American IPA). Brought home a growler of Whisper Kisses for the game tomorrow night. Good beer and a fun place.
Still recovering from stomach flu from mid week. That sucked dick.
Sam Adams Alpine Spring. It's probably my favorite of the Sam Adams.
Maker's Mark on the rocks tonight. It could be better, but not much
knob creek single barrel/ Oberon.
testing Android app.
Founders. Enjoyed a Porter, Curmudgeon and Oatmeal Stout. The expansion construction is underway there and should be amazing when finished. Hail from Brew City!
Just saw Zac Brown Band play a sweet set. And the fun is just beginning!
Not drinking, I'm driving. ATL bound, baby!
