not sure how much DB will care, but I will be having a few Two-Hearted IPA's from Bell's as well some Good Human's from Short's Brewery!
OT - The Friday Night Alcoholics - Early Edition Thread
Getting the steaks ready or the grill and a few Bell's Two Hearted. Maybe a salad?
Two hearted is the benchmark of American IPAs.
+1 to anyone that can call out where that comment is from.
Edit: too many words
age, Friday becomes the wrong night to drink, probably the worst night. On "work nights," you have to wake up in the morning and the morning is going to suck anyway, so why not throw a few back and jsut deal with it in the morning. On Saturday, i do the father thing during the day, and the table is set perfectly for a twelve pack of whatever during yard work, listening to the Tigers, playing some golf, etc. Friday night just does not fit for me, I have gotten too many weekends off to bad starts by just not waiting until Saturday.
hahaha its still morning for me
i do admire the spirit though!
Only 13 hours 'til the bars close. Wouldn't want to waste a minute...
Jack Daniels, Tennessee Whiskey.
at Ashley's during lunch.
is moderating these posts??? I see nothing over-rated or flaming about any of them...does some mod have butthurt???
mods don't do that, just regular ole folks like you and me. If you see something that has been negged that did not deserve to be it is usually either a personal grudge between posters or disgust with the entire thread itself. Or perhaps somebody really just does not like Jack Daniels.
gotchya, thanks for the heads up...someone must really dislike Bells of Shorts!
See where it reads : Voting Details ?
You can click that and actually see who downvoted the original post.
Alas you cannot do that for comments.
Yes, I just wrote "alas."
On call tonight, drinking tomorrow to make up for it.
Something that's filled with hoppy goodness that you've never heard of. Cus I'm hipster like that.
Since when does hoppy beer have anything to do with hipsters?
Although I will admit it is very hipster for a hipster to think he/she is the authority on hoppy beer or that non-hipsters don't drink or know about hoppy beer.
I'll be enjoying a Shiner Hefeweizen after my son's tee-ball game in 100+ degree Texas heat.
domestic hefe around. Not overly citrussy, not jacked up for tender American palettes. Great stuff, and makes for world class gas the next day.
I give it a 9.
Rye IPA, Belgian Dark Strong, Robust Porter and Dunkleweizen on tap.
Cole slaw. Runny cole slaw
Probably pregame with some Platty Lights tonight. Bloomington tomorrow so getting extra fucked. INDY 500 next weekend so, yes, I will be redneck drunk come the great news and birthday present to my sister on the 26th.
Recovery from the "no more kids" surgery
I will be enjoying several Southern California beers at Petco Park while enjoying the Padres vs. Nationals. Then, who knows...
Red wine from a box. The cheap stuff. Now, I can afford better but I'm just not discriminating. My oldest son, a recent WMU grad, is moving back in for the summer (he's got a teaching job in the Fall), is a beer connoisseur but has no $ to his name. I'll treat him to whatever he wants when he gets back on Sunday.
Whatever's on tap at the local pub. It's not going to be anything good, I can assure you that.
I have a buddy's bachelor party coming up, and he wants to drink craft beer (I got a handle on this part) and smoke cigars. Any good suggestions for cigars to buy? I live near a decent selection, but I am open to new places around Ann Arbor or Flint.
White owls homie
Coors light pints!
Although, it's a friend's birthday on Monday and she wants to spend the whole weekend celebrating so we'll see what happens.
I got a six pack of budweiser. Going over to my buddys house and watching the Tigers game.
Got a race in the morning, but then it's on like donkey kong!!!!
Sitting in JFK with a tall glass of Hoegaarden, then maybe treat myself to a nice rum and coke on the flight home.
Dammit, I'd love a Hoegaarden right now.
Just cracked a Sam's Summer, gonna hang with the kids and enjoy the weather.
Here's to a relaxing weekend for all.....cheers!
With that Busch Light! On vacation in Florida sitting on the beach!
Snobbiness not intended, as I've drank plenty of Busch Light in my day, but you're drinking Busch Light on vacation? It's vacation! Live a little!
this evening has started with Daisy Cutter Pale Ale, a fine Midwestern libation. From there I may go with the more intoxicating, ominous, but utterly delicious On the Wings of Armageddon by DC Brau. Cheers.
Daisy Cutter is a beautiful beer. Nice choice.
I started with a Double Crooked Tree, then a 2012 BBA People's Porter, now just rum and cokes.
4 pack of Lake Erie Monster by Great Lakes. Quite fresh and delicious
Then onto some Hudson Baby Bourbon.
Big Red Coq
Unibroue's Don De Dieu
Trying to find some Bells Lager of the Lakes, good summer beer, might have to venture to Binny's to track some down if my local store doesn't order it like they keep saying they will.
Few Oberons, few Strawberry Blondes from ABC
Love red wine
it's cheap, it's good, epecially by patio fire light. One absolute bitch of a day - if it weren't for the creature comforts at home, I'd be flippin' crazy.
A couple of Oberons and then bed. Work at 6am tomorrow. Livin the dream!
Pina coladas. They are delicious...and strong. When you use coconut rum, you can triple the rum/mix ratio and not taste any difference.
Fat tire and now a few summer shandys cause that is what is in the fridge.
I had my last Enjoy By. Waiting for my homebrew to finish chilling to bust that out, I'm really excited to try it.
Just popped an Oberon and I am going to relax.
Started with a New Holland Monkey King Saizon and just switched over to a New Belgium Trippel. Really liking both selections.
*saison /that guy
I'm a big fan of saison's so I'm going to have to hunt that one down.
I'm drinking lots and lots of wine. I worked at CSI:NY, which just got cancelled I've been wrapping the show out. It's really hard coming to grips with the fact that the best group of people you've known since U of M is going their separate ways.
