OT: Free Slurpee Day at 7-11
http://annarbor.com/business-review/7-elevens-birthday-free-slurpees-at…
Pretty much what it says - 7-11 is offering free slurpees to celebrate it's 85th birthday today from 11 am to 7 pm. For a change this doesn't look just local/Ann Arbor, but probably national, so all readers can partake. But college kids in particular like free stuff, and it's not as hot, but still hot. And really, everyone likes free stuff.
You can find a store that's offering it on their own website-
Fantastique. I know where I'm going after my meetings.
I hope you present consists of more than just a free slurpee.
I'm blaming you for the brain freeze.
Free sh!t is always good. But a warning!
It looks like the free size is 7.11 oz. Wroughly 66% the size of a can of coke.
On the plus size, that probably is not enough to cause any serious brain freeze.
Just wanted to soften the wave of disappointment when you saw the size that you get.
Thanks for the heads up. It's realy a good move by 7-11. People will get there and see what size they can get and just say, "Fuck it. I'm already here." And they'll buy a slurpee for 2 bucks.
Regardless, enjoy one of God's greatest gift to mankind: slurpees!
Yeah, pretty sure you're right. I remember doing this back in high school in Maryland.
[Commence Cool Story Bro]
I live in Downtown Baltimore, and last time they had Free Slurpee Day at my friendly neighborhood 7Eleven, it incited a group of teenagers to loot the store and beat up the store clerks. I think I will avoid the riot and pay the dollar and change for a slurpee tomorrow, if I feel so inclined.
[BONUS: Video of guy getting beat up on St. Patricks Day included in the above article]
[EDIT/DOUBLE BONUS: Read the comments if you want to see some incredibly ignorant and racist statements]
You see what happens when they get rid of guys like Avon, Stringer and Marlow. Just no order to the streets anymore.
Brain freeze can be relieved quickly by pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth. I haven't had one since the day I learned this. Well, you can feel it coming on but can quell the freeze before it gets bad.
Hardly any line at the 7-11 at Middlebelt and Northline this morning, and yes, a Slurpee makes an excellent breakfast.
then we took a walk over to state street 7-11 downtown ann arbor...
a good day all around...
and for good measure I hit another 7-11 on the way home. lol
