Actually, it was the press that got into the "Bobby Knight choked Neil Reed" story.  Reed seemed embarrassed by all of the attention, and never exploited it.  If you go to the story written by Bruce Feldman, with whom Reed worked as an intern,  you will read that Reed never brought the subject up.  

Condolences to his friends and family.  RIP.

Sad news indeed. Hate to see people my age passing; moreso those with kids left behind. Completely unimaginable for my boy to not have a dad as a child.

Also, another day, another useless post of an obituary that has nothing to do with University of Michigan sports. Will it ever end?

What's the motivation here? Does EricTheActor want extra points for being virtuous?

I really think the obituary posts should be reserved for people with ties to UMich.

Sad to see a young guy pass away too soon.  He's only a handful of years older than me, and to pass away so suddenly is incredibly depressing.  The best to his family.
