OT: Florida State has Buzzer Beater Waved Off...Loses to Virginia Tech
After review it looked like the ball was still on his hand as the lights went on.
Vtech was a bubble team so this kinda sucks.

That, and they're Virginia Tech, which also sucks.

Not sure we're a total lock anymore. All the bubble teams seem to have pulled in important wins.

Repeat after me.
We are fine. We are fine. We are fine.
I may just make that my signature. EDIT: BOOM, Done!

I'm confident we'll make it, but it might be in Dayton.

Probably still doubtful but if that's the case, WOO ROAD TRIP!
I'm not afraid of Michigan playing on the first day. I absolutely like our chances against any other 11 or 12 seed. Get past that game and we have a game in hand, perhaps some more confidence, and maybe a little chip on the shoulder. Bring on the 5 or 6 seed.

You are a lock
Stop worrying
Beat OSU and you are definitely in fo'sho, good luck
Anyway that was an epic game, Green hits the 2 to pull VT ahead by 1 with 4.7 left, and then FSU dribbles all the way across the court and hits that three at the buzzer, I was devastated at first and then I saw them say it was reviewed and it looked good to me, but the refs got it right.
That's how the officiating job should be done. Good job by the crew there, good game

I'm pretty positive we're still gonna make the dance.
BUT I do not want to be in a play-in game either. That would piss me off big time.
Although two weeks ago I would have been fine with anything, so I have to remember that.

This day of college basketball has been absolutely nuts. Uconn/Cuse going into OT, Ohio State/Northwestern go into OT, Penn State beats Wisconsin in one of the ugliest games I have ever seen, Michigan State throttles a Purdue team, UNC wins on a buzzer beater lay up vs. Miami, ND/Louisville are in OT right now, Jimmer dropped 52, this Va Tech game, oh and Michigan came back from a 12 point hole to beat Illinois with 8 minutes left. I need my heart checked.

Very good day in college basketball today
These tournaments may be even better than March Madness...they come pretty close if they aren't greater than March Madness. About 6 straight days of tense basketball starting last Tuesday and ending Sunday. Insane

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, the tournament's great but these 2 weeks leading up to it with conference play ending and conference tournaments are always chaos.

Colorado lost.
USC lost.
Georgia lost.
Boston College lost.
All of those were bubble teams before today, and lost. We were "above" the bubble, albeit barely, before today and we beat a top-50 team. The bubble teams that won today - Clemson, PSU and MSU - we are 5-0 against. Alabama won, but our win was more impressive and we were ahead of them before today as well. The only bubble teams with more impressive wins than us are PSU and MSU, and we beat each of them twice, so I'm not too concerned about them, especially since one of them has to lose their next game.

Guys-the Big 10 did really well tonight, and y'all know the Big 10 more than you know anything else, so it's making you feel like every bubble team is pulling giant upsets.
We are now ahead of -- and will permanently stay ahead of -- Colorado, UAB, BC, Georgia, St. Mary's, USC, and maybe Illinois.
We are likely still ahead of Penn State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Dayton and Alabama.
This is important: the only team who pulled an upset today who likely moved above us on the S-Curve is Michigan State. The number of things that would have to go wrong at this point to even said Michigan to the play-in game is such that it is prohibatively unlikely.

We'd have to fall at least eight spots and there are maybe two teams below the cut that even have a shot
Those 5 wins versus Clemson, MSU, Penn State look a hell of a lot better than they did yesterday which may help seeding.
Also...anybody else kind of weirded out that Penn State's win over Wisconsin counts as much as it did. That was just an atrociously played game that shouldn't have helped them at all.

We're at least 10 spots above the bubble. There's no cap on the number of teams from the Big Ten either.
