OT: Florida players block each other.. Again

Submitted by MGoManBall on

For the 2nd year in a row, Florida players have been caught on film blocking each other. I posted a thread last year about this phenomenon which can be found HERE

Here is this year's occurence:

At least Michigan isn't this bad?

M's rushing offense isn't the nightmare it was a year ago. It's a solid mediocre (#56 S&P), which we all would have taken preseason. It is the passing game that make us fear things under our beds in 2014, but still hoping DG can put a couple games together this year. Rushing may be even better if teams weren't begging us to pass. The OL has improved and shown development this year. No, not enough to save Hoke.

This is silly. It's not necessary to find new and depressing ways to view the season. It's been bad enough on its own. Ole Miss is 45, are they terrible? Arizona State is 53. RichRod's Arizona team is 75. Minnesota is 49. By your measure, a team ranked 25th in the country is mediocre. But that's not the way people measure things. Unless you're downer Michigan fan looking for yet another way to "OMG THE TEAM IS SOOOO BAD"

to hug each other, but realized that they were on television, and that the play was not yet over. Back on the Florida sideline, Will Muschamp lauded them for their discretion.

Interior lineman Mimsey Borogrove, however, was having none of it. "Those guys," a Gainesville Sun reporter overheard him mutter. "They need to get a room."

Like last year's incident, this simply illustrates the need to be absolutely clear when you're talking scheme and technique because you never know how any one player will interpret, "Do it just like we did in practice!" because obviously you can find yourself saying, "NO, NOT LITERALLY LIKE IN PRACTICE!"

Welcome to Coffee Talk, I'm your host Linda Richman.

Now what's worse, Gators blocking each other or Wolverines playing with only 10 on special teams.  I'm a little verklempt myself. Give me a second. Talk amongst yourselves....

I dont see how this is worse than Michigan's O-Line. At least they found a way to block somebody. Our O-Line could be told to block each other and still find a way to screw it up...
