OT; Florida OL blocking.. each other?
As the title says, against Georgia Southern this past weekend, the Florida offensive linemen apparently are struggling to understand their assignments.
Michigan's coaches have said that targeting has been part of the problem for the offensive line this year and I guess I'm just glad it's not this bad.
Pretty funny, actually.
Annnnnd, roll tape!
The whole play:

at least there hitting someone......more than I can say for us half the time.

they're*
November 25th, 2013 at 5:19 PM ^
Film session is going to be brutal for those two.
November 25th, 2013 at 5:19 PM ^
heck happened at the two yard line? Is that a ref or player sprawled out with no one around?
November 25th, 2013 at 5:25 PM ^
Rather, it is one of Georgia Southern's safeties. Oddly enough, this play resulted in a first down, something of a rarity for Florida of late. Still pretty funny to have linemen on the same team block each other AND some form of planking on the same play. Perhaps it is part of Muschamp's grand plan to keep the line unbalanced (and opponents off their guard) by making the line look unbalanced?

He is pulling a Les Miles and tasting the grass.

Is the guy on the 2 yard line alive? Looks like the turf monster jumped up and grabbed him
November 25th, 2013 at 5:24 PM ^
At least they can block?
November 25th, 2013 at 5:30 PM ^
At least they got positive yardage out of it
November 25th, 2013 at 5:30 PM ^
Isn't that a WR (or TE split out) blocking the OL, not OL on OL? Either way, that's probably a better run than we had all day Saturday.
November 25th, 2013 at 5:32 PM ^
So, you're telling me that Florida can score down two blockers? Hmmm...
November 25th, 2013 at 5:34 PM ^
A wide receiver committing the "block" on the right guard. Still terrible though, Almost as if he is playing with his eyes closed.
November 25th, 2013 at 5:38 PM ^
hey look, they still got positive yards.
November 25th, 2013 at 6:04 PM ^
Would've been better had the WR broke the block and made a diving tackle.
November 25th, 2013 at 6:07 PM ^
Given the apparent success of the play I would have to conclude this brilliant ruse worked quite well.
Something to consider?
November 25th, 2013 at 6:15 PM ^
Don't give Borges any ideas...
November 25th, 2013 at 7:00 PM ^
+1. Bring back the votes.
November 25th, 2013 at 6:18 PM ^
we have it here, Muschamp is running an absolute train wreck in Gainesville. Things could be much worse folks, the Gators make me feel better about myself.
November 25th, 2013 at 7:01 PM ^
He's just laying there and no one has noticed. #SNIPER!!!
November 25th, 2013 at 6:59 PM ^
This is fake. Watch it closely.
November 25th, 2013 at 7:01 PM ^
It real
November 25th, 2013 at 7:02 PM ^
I'll bet Al Borges is one of those people.
November 25th, 2013 at 6:59 PM ^
They should create a new bowl game and call it The Clusterfuck Bowl. The inaugural game featuring Michigan vs Florida. Records don't matter.
November 25th, 2013 at 10:18 PM ^
This is actually an intriguing idea...except that Michigan would be in it this year.
November 25th, 2013 at 7:02 PM ^
But zero percent real. The one dude just appears out of thin air
November 25th, 2013 at 7:03 PM ^
I stand corrected. It is real. Even funnuer
November 25th, 2013 at 7:16 PM ^
Funk, Borges, aren't nearly as the doom and gloom group in here ehink they are. Funny though, the guy gets the first and goal. When we miss a block it goes for minus five yards. Hell with our luck the refs would have called one of them for holding.
November 25th, 2013 at 7:14 PM ^
Only thing that would have made it funnier is if one of them had been flagged for holding.
November 25th, 2013 at 7:17 PM ^
and then I remember that we are 2 plays away from being as bad as Florida. If not worse conscidering Florida's schedule.
November 25th, 2013 at 7:18 PM ^
Edit Thanks smooth
November 25th, 2013 at 7:43 PM ^
Got a first down and positive rushing yards on the play
November 25th, 2013 at 8:08 PM ^
We are the last fan base that should be laughing about another team's O-line struggles... Hell, at least they gained positive yardage on the play
November 25th, 2013 at 8:15 PM ^
That play is the biggest clusterfuck I've ever seen. Teammates blocking eachother, a GA Southern trips overhimself, and the Florida running back destroys a cameraman
November 25th, 2013 at 8:34 PM ^
SB Nation is reporting that Brent Pease and Tim Davis will be fired after the FSU game. I wonder who will replace them.
November 25th, 2013 at 9:04 PM ^
They're reaching out to Al as we speak
November 25th, 2013 at 9:08 PM ^
But their OL is young! They just need more time!
November 25th, 2013 at 9:24 PM ^
1) 2 Florida players block each other, 2) Shooter from the grassy knoll takes out another player, 3) Camera man taken out by running back and 4) top of the shot (found it on another clip) The Field Judge gets hit and it looks like he takes a foot to the face.......
November 25th, 2013 at 10:35 PM ^
Ah, the little foam football...
November 26th, 2013 at 10:02 AM ^
Seeing this vid for the first time, then reading this post...I just spit out my coffee while laughing. It's been that kind of week I guess.
November 26th, 2013 at 1:39 PM ^
He told the O linemen to "block like they do during practice"...so they did, they blocked each other.
November 26th, 2013 at 1:41 PM ^
Just made my day. Sent it to all my UF co-workers.
