OT: Flooding in Lansing
https://www.facebook.com/wilxnews10/videos/950818054961671/ http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/news/local/2015/08/10/flooding… Pretty incredible stuff. They got 3.77 inches of rain today. Harbaugh must be sending a warning to Dantonio now that he controls the weather and seasons.

It has been dry for many weeks and needed the rain but it seems that it can be a little too much in a short amount of time. Where I lived there was heavy rain a couple of times for 10 or 15 minutes and then stopped.

That's nothing compared to June down here in KY we had 3.2 inches fall in an hour. Still it's gods way of cleansing the bad areas.

If Kentucky was just one giant sinkhole, no one would miss it.

Thank you.
No need to be a dick.

And that's nothing compared to what we've had in Tampa. 45" since April, 23" since July 20th.

all fell in 3 hours, the majority in the first two. Areas flooded that don't usually flood, the drain system just couldn't keep up.

364 days after the floods last year.

Something about the second Monday in August and floods in Michigan. Last year I remember the devastating floods that hit my hometown of Warren. The area looked like a war zone the following morning.

Doesn't Warren always kind of look like a warzone?

I think I understand the joke you're trying to make, but... have you been to Warren?

Submarines welcome water.

Damn. If it were winter, that'd be equivalent to about 4 feet of snow in one day.

We're down at Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky and that rain came through here about 5:30 PM or so yesterday. For about 30 minutes, it was a pretty good downpour, but then it trailed off and the sun was back out not 45 minutes later, so that front must have dumped a considerable portion of its load in central and SE Michigan (my in-laws said downriver had about an inch and a half, at least by us).

Here in NYC we've had pretty consistent, torrential rain this morning. It's kinda crazy all around.

Not even a flood of biblical proportions would be able to cleanse the filth out of that craphole.

it was bad. The worst part was, the rain made me slow down! I try to get through that dump as fast as possible.
