OT - Final Friday in a Sucky 2013 Posbang post

It's only a few more days until the end of the year. Can the good guys make it? Only one bowl game stands in our way.

 

 

Edited to add that with the McGary back surgery the car is right on their ass.

 

Only four days left. What else could possible go wrong?

Even Matthew McConaughay was great, and that's painful for me to admit. I'm interested in seeing Scorsese's cut. The version of events took a fairly drastic turn from Belfort's memoirs about halfway through. I wonder what the original (I heard four hour) cut looked like and if they ended up combining events to save the time they needed.

This is the year I learned that no matter what, it can always get worse. I just felt like the hits kept coming no matter what. I also learned how much the football team affects my emotional state. My resolution for the new year will be to love/follow the team in more healthy ways.

It has been a trying 2013 for Michigan sports, but as for today, I am actually being reasonably productive. The key, I have discovered, is to actually come in and be coverage for regional management on holidays and get caught up due to the lack of, well, people and other distractions. That being said, today is my last day until next Thursday, when I will probably have a similar wonderful problem of minimal staffing and nothing to get in the way of other projects. All that it means, of course, is that the week of the 6th is going to be a long, terrible week for me, but I will be at least mostly caught up on things. 

I have vowed to stay up for the bowl game, incidentally. My wife will probably just be walking through the door from work when it ends and just roll her eyes, but I am fine with that. She's seen me do this for football many times over the 10 years we've been married.

My year is about to end with me working extra long hours with nothing to do, so that should be fun. Luckily, 2014 will start with a bang though. My birthday is January 1st and the reason why I'm working a lot this week is so I can have my birthday off. I figure 2013 already sucks enough, but no way I'm letting 2014 start off bad! Hopefully the Wolverines win as an early birthday present for me. I used to love watching them on New Years day, that was way better than any presents or parties.

Don't let the UM door hit you in the A$$! BBall will go on a nice run in 2014 and HOCKEY will take us to the Frozen Four! When the leaves turn we will have a new and improved OL with a year under their belt. Hello DG, glad you are back! Oh look, there's Darboh and Funchess......TD

for the Bowl game?

If ever there was an incentive for the OL to play great this would be it. A freshman with no experience starting in his first game which happens to be a Bowl game. He will need all the help he can get.

I great year all and all. I and my family have our health and are happy. The Michigan sports world will be back and better than ever. For everything there is a season. Be patient.
