OT: Final Four Matchups--Who Do You Got?
Title says it all, or most of it: Who do you want tomorrow, who do you expect to win?
I see the argument that Wisconsin can go over the top against Kentucky as persuasive; I want a Big Ten win, and I think that Wiscy can take them. And something deeply cynical inside me says Calipari wins anyway.
I will also be rooting for Duke for the first time in my life. Well, I may have rooted for them against UNLV, because Tark was the devil then that Cal is now. I was still a kid; but maybe that means I was more idealistic. Anyway, I resented Tarkanian having the audacity to die around the same time Dean Smith did. Tark couldn't hold Dean Smith's jock.
In fact, I want to see MSU go down badly, E. Lansing furniture lighting up the night, visible from the international space station.
I want an all big ten matchup in the final with the badgers prevailing...
I expect UK to win it all though
i am wrestling with that myself. izzo may be a whiner, but he's a yooper and as near as i can tell runs a reasonably clean program. also, i am not worried one bit that state's success will have any negative impact on beilein and his coaching exploits.
i would contrast that with d'antonio who for all his recent success seems like a bizarre, highly insecure man who has just eaten a bag of manure every time you see him on TV.

I don't like Duke. I'm rooting for the blue devils to lose.
Wiscy and Duke is what I'd like to see, and then Wiscy over Duke. I think/hope it could happen.

Duke will curbstomp MSU. Duke will win by 15-20.
Kentucky-Wisconsin will come down right to the end -its a battle of two teams that always get everything to go their way in the final minutes of games.
I give Kentucky the edge because they are one of the few teams that can matchup and have more height/size than Wisconsin.
Kentucky beats Duke in the final.
...so I'm sticking with that. I thought each team were on a collision course to each other after that Big 4 Classic thing at the very beginning of the season.
I also said Wisconsin. The only team I missed on was Arizona who happened to be in the wrong bracket.
Not that those predictions are alarming, those were like 4 of the 5 or 6 best teams going into the year. I just thought they were the only 4 ELITE teams in the country.
I could argue that is accurate if Duke blows out MSU.
I don't say a blowout, but I don't think it'll be an interesting game in the 2nd half. I think it'll be one of those score looks worse than it was kind of games.

If you read my post I said, that UK, Duke, Wisc and Arizona were in my mind the only ELITE teams in the country and I thought they'd each get to the Final Four.
UK in the midwest, Duke in the south, Wisc in the East and Arizona out west.
There wasn't any going out on the limb, nor did I claim it was. I expected chalk the whole way.

Seeing Bo Ryan and Tom Izzo in the national championship game would cause me to threw up.
And seeing Calipari with his nearly dozen McDonald's All-Americans lose to a team that was built on actual player development would be quite nice.
But I wouldn't put money on anything other than Tom Izzo finding something to whine about before, during and/or after the MSU/Duke game.

All I know is MSU and Wisconsin don't need more help with recruiting. The B1G has shouwn it was under rated so I want a Duke vs Kentucky final and don't give a damn who wins.
On second thought I'll go with Duke because all of these teams are the devil. I'll go with the one who is upfront and honest about it.
