OT: Fight Night: Manny v. Money!

Submitted by gopoohgo on

Two undercards.  Main event probably at least 2 hours away.

Think Manny wins in a controversial split decision, setting up a bazillion dollar rematch.

I'm with those above. Hoping for a good fight and excited to watch. House full of guys, 2 refrigerators full of beer and a grill covered in meat. Let's get ready to rumble!

Not leaving for the neighbors until this Clippers game is over, I couldn't care less about pre-fight hype, but I don't want to miss anything.

Why do I get the feeling this fight is just going to end up being kinda boring with Mayweather winning on decision?

Iuno I'm hoping for the best, but generally the hype is just too real.

At any point in their careers Mayweather would win this fight. He's just better defensively and won't get hit by Pac. Expect a boring decision win like the Canelo Alvarez fight.

While both have declined in recent years I'm still interested to see this fight.

Being a wrestling fan, I'm expecting someone to come off the ropes with a clothesline.

I know a lot of people hate Floyd and his antics, but the guys is undefeated for a reason. I don't have a problem with any of it. The guy knows how to promote and maximize his earning potential. I want Floyd to win because he's American if I'm honest. I don't know why, but boxing is somewhat like soccer for me in that national pride plays a part in my rooting interest.

I never said I like Floyd the person. I like Floyd the boxer, and like it or not he represents the United States. If you look at Michael Jordan the person, he's not so great either. He never had any domestic violence charges, but he had multiple kids out of wedlock and his apparel is created by kids in sweatshops in the poorest of countries. I doubt you dislike MJ for these reasons.

Clearly I wasn't referring to domestic violence as an antic. I was referring to the trash talking and flamboyant lifestyle. I'm sure you didn't laugh at all at the hangover movies because Tyson was in them right?

I called every sports bar within a 10 mile radius. Most aren't showing it, and the few that are are charging $20 a pop, and have been booked solid for weeks. How are more places not showing this fight?

If you don't want to click, commercial rights to show the fight, for a place with a capacity less than 200 is $6,500.  Up to 650, $15,500.

The company in charge of collecting these fees have successfully sued bars not paying the commercial fees $100K per violation.
