The Fiesta CEO, Junker, grew up in Akron OH as a buckeye fan.   Given that the Fiesta chose or hosted OSU for their bowls multiple times during the CEO's reign, I wonder if there are any past financial linkages between OSU boosters and the Fiesta.

I have no evidence of such links.  However, given the recent, incontrovertible evidence of other corruption at OSU, I do not think that the question is entirely unreasonable to ask.  I would be interested if anyone has, or can obtain, more information.

Oh for the love of, you've got to be kidding right?

Hey, oh hey guys! I think OSU might be linked to the assassinations of JFK and Malcolm X because both of those people knew about OSU....and OSU knew about them, if you know what I mean. Does anyone have inside info on this? /s

I did not say OSU is linked to the Fiesta bowl corruption.

But I did think that the Fiesta Bowl CEO's backround as an OSU fan might not be generally known and that someone here might know more about this than I do.

If no one bothered to uncover Tressel's emails, would you also make fun of anyone expressing interest in getting more information about his honesty, connections to Sarniak, etc?

Before the evidence emerged, would you also make fun of Bryant Gumbel for exploring possible links between OSU football camps, player payoffs and commitments (see previously cited link below).

Judging from your other posts, I believe that that you just misread my statement and do not lack reason or curiosity.

Do you really think anyone sitting around on mgoboard is going to have super duper secret insider information on the inner workings of OSU and the Fiesta Bowl? Sure, it is possible that shady things have went down, but you just are making stuff up and it's borderline libel. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean you get to insinuate whatever you want.

And, judging from my other posts, I'll always defend the rights and respect for other people.

I did think that someone here might know something about the Fiesta Bowl.  I have via such boards, talked directly to a representative of the Outback bowl who happened to be a UM fan.

I do apologize if my post was taken as just an insinuation because it was not intended in this way.  However, Given the many recent disclosures about OSU, I would like to see their activiites fullly investigated---which was not the case during the last NCAA investigation.  (recall that they never spoke to Maurice Clarett about his allegations, which might have been considered wild insinuations without foundation, but which now seem more than remotely plausible).

As for what you are insinuating about my motives, you will need to judge whether you yourself should apologize.  Nothing I said was libel (which would require a clear implication that OSU-Fiesta improprieties were a fact).*

It's perferctly fine with me if you want to defend OSU with facts (not ridicule).  I respect your right to defend people.   However, another important right is free speech.

Thank God we don't live in Iran or Libya.

We should just make 30 new threads about bringing back meaningful negging so it annoys Brian into doing it.
