OT- Feldman never suspended according to ESPN statement

Submitted by maizenblue92 on

According to an ESPN statement Bruce Felman was never suspended. Generic, cookie-cutter statement link here. http://www.espnmediazone3.com/us/2011/07/15/espn-statement-regarding-bruce-feldman/.

"There was never any suspension or any other form of disciplinary action. We took the time to review his upcoming work assignments in light of the book to which he contributed and will manage any conflicts or other issues as needed.   Bruce has resumed his assignments."

"Bruce has resumed his assignments." Anyone else wonder why he would need to resume his assignments if he never was suspended? Wouldn't he just be still working on his assignments? Maybe I'm just nit picking here

Damn phone wrang at work. lol when I started this post no one else had responded, Sorry to be repetitive

Edit- Fixed bad grammar and general stupidness

I am guessing the #freebruce "campaign" on twitter by sportswriters from other outlets worked.  Sports by Brooks covered this quite well.

Seems pretty clear to me.  Feldman was never suspended, but his assignments were.

I would have liked to have attended that meeting....

ESPN: "Assignment A, assignment B, assignment C, you are all suspended until we further review each of you in light of Mr. Feldman's book."

Assignments: "  "

Feldman (from afar): "Anybody seen any of my assignments?"

Shoot, when I saw this title I thought it was in reference to Corey Feldman and that he'd be coming back to the movies.

Why did Bruce Feldman get suspended?  Or not suspended?
