OT: F*ck Lion Spotted in Wild?

Submitted by Sleepy on

So, my brother-in-law is currently teaching in Chengdu, China.  Somewhat recently, he went to what appeared to be a semi-pro-ish football game with a couple friends.  In his words...

First of all, there were maybe 50 people there in a soccer stadium that probably sat 10,000.  Before the game, they asked one of my buddies if he wanted to help ref (since one of the refs didn't show), soley based on the fact that he was a white dude (which, in their opinion, obviously meant he was an American that was knowledgeable in the rules of football).  Also, there was a GIANT dude on the team.  I think somebody said he went to Michigan.  Marques something?  Here's a pic.

The legend continues.

If there is justice in this world, Marques is also the team spokesperson. In fact, he should be contractually obligated to give interviews at least 3 times a week. Here's to you, Marques Slocum. May you always be a comfortable temperature, because of the immortal line, "fuk dat hot shit an dat cold shit."

I love everything about this thread.   This is exactly the type of information that should be conveyed by the internet.    I wouldn't get this info anywhere else.  Mlive wouldn't dare touch this topic.

Actually, I could see MLive running with this on a slow day, but then the comments would go off on a tangent about how we can't recruit players like F*ck Lion and then onto marginalizing the career of F*ck Lion and then somone from RCMB would ring in and say "F*ck Michigan" and then it would descend into some void, the entrance to which was obscured by the ad for Varisty Ford.

First I didn't know who the Sklar brothers were, and now I have absolutely no idea what this thread title even means.  This is not a good day for trying to feel all hip and trendy.

He's now (or at least was as of a year ago) a RB.

"The Dockers have reverted to a run-heavy offense, much like the rest of the league, and it has paid dividends for them, as Marques Slocum (ex Michigan Wolverine), just making the switch to running back weeks ago, is tough to bring down with just one or two defenders."

Love how Lloyd was allowed to aggressively persue this guy for two years without a single UM fan batting an eye but Rich Rod was crucified the minute he looked at Demar Dorsey.
