OT: Faygo Redpop soon to be a Slurpee flavor. What flavor would you like?

Submitted by East German Judge on

Saw a DetNews story that Faygo Redpop will soon be a slurpee flavor at 300 Michigan and Ohio 7-Eleven stores.

Interesting factoid from the story - "Consumers in the Metro Detroit region quaff more Slurpees than in any other market in the nation, 7-Eleven officials said."

And as a prelude to the evening's "What are you drinking thread", are you glad Redpop is coming and what flavor/beverage needs to be made into a slurpee?

Comic books and rubber bands

Climb into the tree top

Falling down and holding hands

Tricycles and Redpop

Pony rides and Sunday nights

Roller skates and snowball fights

Climbin' through the window

Remember when you were a kid?

Well, part of you still is

And that's why we make Faygo

Flying kites and funny shoes

Easter eggs with speckles

ABCs and counting by twos

Washing off the freckles

Kissing a hurt to make it stop

Startin' school in September

So many things you almost forgot

Tryin' to remember

1) Crushing Ohio State, and hearing the lamentations of their cheerleaders and fans.

2) Faygo Rock N Rye.

3) Sanders Hot Fudge Ice Cream topping.

4) A cold night with a hot girl, or a hot night with a hot girl.

5) The birth of your children.

Rock n' Rye.  If we're going off Faygo, I'd go with Vernors.  Defnitely nothing of the Towne Club though, always, perhaps unfairly thought that was low rent, given the times we were buying that stuff and my family's economic situation growing up.

For any Seattlites, be advised that Ezell's Fried Chicken (in the CD at 23rd & Jefferson, in Columbia City at Rainier & Genesee) carries Faygo products. Go get some if you haven't already.
