OT: Favorite Fight Scene

Submitted by The Fugitive on

Dear board,

What is your favorite movie fight scene?

A battle between a T-800 and T-1000?  Neo vs Agent Smith?  The entirety of John Wick?

Embedded below is when I exact my revenge on Dr Charles Nichols.  He got me with a couple good shots, namely a chair to the back, but he really missed some golden opportunities to do more damage but instead opted for a shoving match.

I then turned the tables and kicked his ass down a flight of stairs and KO'd him down an elevator shaft.

I thought the fight in Rocky II was equally good, though the rest of the movie didn't compare. Also, Rocky IV's fight is very entertaining regardless of how ridiculous it is.

Always liked the Bourne movie fights because they feel natural - both in terms of action and plot. And on a related note, the Mini Cooper chase scene from the first one is an easy top 3 chase scene for me.

Yeah, I like them for the reasons you listed too. They are always "we need to fight out of necessity" fight scenes filled with "here's a book, it's the only weapon I have, so I'm going fuck you up with it" moments.

Just grounded enough in reality where I'm like, maybe on a really, really good day after like 2-3 drinks I could pull some of that off.

Not necessarily the best, but the question is favorite (which are not always the same for me). I really like the Bourne fight scene in tangier where he pounds him in the throat with a book then just chokes him out in the shower stall. Those fight scenes are always good, like the one in the first Bourne in the Paris apartment with that guy that pulls the pen out of his hand, as well as the guy in that house where he choked him with the power cord and then blows up the house using the gas line and the magazine in the toaster.
