OT: Fantasy Football Finale

I am currently depending on Vick garnering me 28 points and for DeSean Jackson to get no more. Yup. I lost.

I made the brilliant decision to play Kitna instead of Rogers this week.  I'm about to lose by about 25 when Rogers scored 34 to Kitna's 4.  Shit...

I came into tonight needing Vick to get less than 10.86 (Yahoo fractional point league), and if the vikings DBs hadnt decided to drop any and everything thrown right at them, i might have actually pulled it off. 

Of course, my stacked team (Roddy White, Vincent Jackson, Andre Johnson, Welker, Chris Johnson, GreenEllis, Owen Daniels, Garrard) hadn't all (except Garrard and Daniels) shit the bed this week it wouldn't even matter. I kinda feel like the 2007-2008 Patriots at this point. 

**Edit: Oh and Buehlers missed extra point cost me 3, possibly 8 since it would have gone to OT and he coulda won it. 3 for sure though.

***Edit #2: Up 1.36 points going into the 4th QTR. Is it wrong to hope for a strained hammy on vick?? Nothing serious, just the rest of this game.

****Edit #3: Nail in my coffin. Vick runs it in a play after the vikings drop their 4 pick of the night. Ugh.

I went into the night up 10 and my opponent had McCoy and Rice still to go. So yeah, that Rice touchdown being called back was nice.

I'm about to win my championship (unless Vick does something crazy in the last quarter and a half of this game) despite my stupidity in starting Garrard over Rodgers (22.5 to 53.5 points in my league). First fantasy football championship ever; I'm pretty stoked.

But we chopped the pot on Saturday...$1200 baby!!

I am going to finish second after this game is complete.  Luckily before the playoffs began the other guy that made the championship game and I decided to chop the championship game payout if we both made it.  So I win even though I lose.

I have 120 points and my opponent has 76 points.  My team is done and he has Vick and DeSean left to play.  Looks like I'm safe to advance to the championship game.

I won my money league. Had it wrapped up on Sunday night with Vick playing now to run the score up.

At least Brady has wrapped up the MVP after Vick's subpar performance tonight. 

I won my Head to head league by 1pt last night after the Matt Ryan fumble was changed and awarded to the center instead of him and my overall league is wrapped as i lead by 250 pts on the 2nd place guy ... and in my UM board friends league i shit the bed and didnt make the playoffs so two 1st place trophies out of 3 is by far the best iv done.

I am currently up about 12 points, with Maclin vs. Peterson.  I get nervous cause AD looks like he is gonna break one soon and my lead could evaporate instantly.  Was not expecting this game to be quite this close.

Semi-finals in 1-week playoff set. I needed Vick to get injured in the first few minutes, then the Eagles to win by about 30. That's not going to happen, just because with the points Vick has already, I'd need the Eagles to score at least 60 and not give up another score.

The other league has 2-week playoffs sets where I'm in the finals. The guy started Maurice Jones-Drew, but he still managed to post up 15 more points than me due to my team having a fluke terrible week. Boldin, Tony Gonzalez, and the Jets defense were all no-shows this week. Even Phillip Rivers, Darren McFadden, and Bironas all had off weeks. Scored less than half my average week.

I had Vick and a 10 point lead going into tonight.  Other team had nobody left.

I was hoping to run it up and send a message to everyone else in the league - sort of like cutting the head off a critter, and hanging the body in your backyard as a message to all other critters not to come into your territory.

Jesus, did I just type that?  I think I read too many WVU boards 3 years ago.

I won my league tonight because peterson got more than one point. Also my bench this week consisted of Josh Freeman 31pts, Arizona defense 22pts, Danny Woodhead 18pts yet I was still able to reach 100 points without them in.

I had the pleasure of going against Vick tonight as well.  He also has Joe Webb in a WR slot making it so I'm facing two QBs.  Their rushing stats absolutely killed me.  Also left Josh Freeman and his 5 TDs on the bench.  Not cool.

Up 24 against Vick and Djax with a 600 on the line between first and second. Cmon Vikings!

i made the playoffs last week when the guy i was facing had matt forte and i was already done for that week.  I won by 2 points.  This week i was done while the guy I was facing had roddy white and maclin and i was up 21 points, 2 min left and im up by 3

I was up by 14 points and I had Akers going and he had Vick going. Vick's rushing td killed me. I about to lose the ship instead of going back-to-back. Shit

I lost out of the championship by 5 points last week, 106 to 111. His QB was Micheal Vick. I'm currently beating everyone in the league by 20 points this week.

I picked up 3rd place, where in my league, Rodgers got me 60+ points. Insane.

Sweated the first quarter but won my championship going away. Started the night with a 13 point lead (even though I left both Cutler and Forte on my bench) with McCoy to play against PHI Def. While the shutout lasted it was close - but finally won by 15 or so.

Would have won league 1 if AP had gotten 18 yards last week...

In the Unofficial MGoBlog FF league finals for week 17

Was up seven going into the night.  Mike Vick helped me seal the league championship - for the third straight year.

That's right - a 3-Peat.

$800 in the bank.

I lost last week by 0.9 pts.  If the other guy doesn't make a last minute roster switch (subbing Josh Scobee for Neil Rackers) or if Kellen Winslow doesn't get a TD called back due to a lame offensive pass interference, I would have won that game and the championship in a rout.  Instead I'm settling for 3rd place.

I had my worst output of the season to lose in the finals. The three players that I rode to the championship match combined for less than 3 points, including the goose egg from an injured Andre Johnson.

I somehow ended up with both Brady and Vick on my team - and by the time Vick came around to being the QB he is now, it was too late for me to trade him.  I lost in the championship game anyway after posting an 8-game winning streak.

After 8 years, 16 teams, and 10 top 3 finishes, I finally get my first fantasy championship.

I only had one player (Brees) on the yahoo can't cut list.  My championship roster had 2 RBs who were midseason pickups (Blount and Green-Ellis).

I was in a td heavy high stakes league and only needed 12 points from Rivers and MacFadden to win $700. Rivers was normally good for that himself all year long. They got me a whopping 6!!!!! But I did win my 2 other leagues easily so I guess over all it was a good year.
