OT: Fantasy Football Advice?

Submitted by The King In Yellow on
Just looking for some advice about who to start in week 3. Really revolves around four running backs I have: Cadillac Williams, Felix Jones, Stephan Jackson and Darren Sproles. I can start two of them. Both Jones and Sproles are expected to start and get the majority of carries. Williams plays NYG Jones plays Carolina Jackson plays GB Sproles plays Miami Any thoughts?

for now. So Felix and Jackson should start. Play Sproles if it is a RB/WR flex position and you don't have any good WR's for that position. I wouldnt expect more than 10 points form Sproles though.

I'd start Jackson and Sproles. There's still quite a bit of uncertainty in TB's backfield, who knows how the carries will shake out in Dallas with Choice, and LT looks DONE and Sproles will definitely get his touches. Jones would my 3rd option if you have a flex spot.

I would start Jackson no matter what format because he is a 3 down back due to his receiving ability. Then , if it is a ppr league I would go with Sproles because as we know Miami can put up points and SD will have to keep up by passing and with Tomlinson hurt he will be the featured back not to mention his return abilities. In a non ppr I would probably go with Felix because Carolina is more suspect to the run than Miami believe it or not and I like his ability to run more than Sproles and SD has turned into a passing team with Turner as head coach.

You can't bench Jackson yet, and Carolina's run D will suffer without their big D-Tackle. Jones should be good this week, Barber is out with the same injury Jackson had last year, and the Cowboys have the top rushing offense in the league so far. Sproles is always a threat to take one to the house, but I just think Jones will have a more consistent workload this week. Definetly not Cadillac though, bad team going against a very good D. A D, oddly enough, coached by Nick Sheridans dad.

I am going to go against the grain here and say Jones and Sproles. I like Jackson and think he rebounds but the GB isn't that bad and although Cedric Benson had a good day against them last Sunday, they shut down Forte and the Bears the week before. Of course pay attention to the injury reports for LDT and Barber all week long and if they are questionable heading up to game time, start Jones and Sproles. If Barber is somehow probable before the game, I'd sub Jackson in. The three headed monster of Barber/Jones/Choice is not something I want to bank my fantasy week on. Sproles and Felix because Chargers have a good overall offense and Felix has shown hhe can put up big points with very limited carries. If Felix gets a few more touches he could be a big point getter. Jackson just has the unfortunate circumstance to be on a bad team that just had most of their line get injured. Cadillac is a coin flip on most days but against a Giant D I think his opportunity to get some big points fades. Hopefully you have some good wide receivers or a decent QB to even out having 2nd/3rd string RBs

Really appreciate all the advice so far. I was kind of leaning towards Jones and Sproles, simply because Jackson just hasn't shown me much this year. I'm glad I got you guys, this is my first year playing fantasy and my friends won't help an enemy. My receivers are pretty crappy. I've got Braylon starting and I just picked up Super Mario as well, hopefully they can put something together this weekend.

I would at least take a look at Sproles at flex pos if you don't have a good WR to fill that slot. Felix Jones and Stephen Jackson are a no brainer esp Jones with Barber hurt.
