Too busy playing Witcher 3.
With all the hype surrounding Witcher 3, I was actually thinking about getting it...but I with the final Arkham game coming up in a few weeks, I think I'll hold off for now.

If you're even remotely interested in the fantasy RPG genre, I would go get Witcher 3 today. It's a masterpiece, you will not regret it.
While I don't think you'll lose out on anything by waiting(I can't wait for Arkham Knight either), The Witcher 3 is incredible and well worth playing. The story is compelling, combat is just challenging enough, and there's an insane amount of content. I can't recommend it highly enough and it's a definite imporvement on The Witcher 2(which was good, but nothing like this).
Downloaded it for free and I want to get into it, but the game's a bit "unfinished" to me. No in-game large map? Quest lists confuse me, is there something that I'm missing by not buying the game-in-box? I got through Chapter 1, but missed tons of the side quests. I couldn't find the guy to collect my reward for the troll, what to the mini-map icons mean? Is there a way to get a quest list?
Maybe I'm spoiled from newer games like AC4 that spelled out what to do.
I eventually broke down and bought the prima game guide, felt a little bit like cheating but it helped me a LOT, especially with the tough parts like obtaining your first silver sword. Once you get used to how everything works it gets a lot better, but the menu functions and the maps are ridiculously poorly oranized.
They really fixed a lot of these issues in Witcher 3, which is good as Witcher 2 took some time to get into due to those issues you describe.
I haven't taken the plunge to XBONE or PS4 yet, but maybe I'll do more digging into the Wiki because Witcher 2 looked like it would be awesome if I just figured out how to get through the unorganized stuff.
I got a silver sword, even some upgrades, but lots of stuff wasn't explained or organized well. Maybe it was a polish translation issue?
I like this way better than Dragon Age and it has so much to do in it. The main story is really good and the even some of the side missions are better than most games. It was worth the money.

Unless they totally change the formula, it will be an open world with maybe certain separate areas you access for specific quests.
I'm only about 20 hours into the game right now, so I wouldn't want to compare it to Skyrim yet. But so far, I am liking the main quest in Witcher 3 better than Skyrim's main quest.
After an initial closed map that serves as an introduction (which is still pretty huge and takes hours to complete all the side quests there), the game opens up. You can then travel wherever you want, although the story progression and level system urges you to stay in one area at a time. For example, in your quest menu, you know you're going to have to travel to multiple locations, but underneath it says "Recommended for level 10" or level 20, etc. These sub areas are vast though, with hundreds of side quests in each area that are mostly all well written stories in themselves.
Plus, you can have sex on a unicorn.

definitely sold me.
I was a fan of Skyrim but couldn't get into The Witcher. But that's mostly because I much prefer first person and don't like the third person combo/parry combat systems like you see in The Witcher, Batman, Shadow Of Mordor, etc. If you liked Skyrim and enjoy that type of third person gameplay?... I'd say The Witcher is a no-brainer.
It's funny because I am the opposite, I am so bad at first person shooters, even though I like them. I love the third person games. Shadow of Modor was incredible, and the witcher is amazing, visually impressive and great gameplay. I hope that fallout 4 is as good as the other ones.
I feel detached in third person, like I'm controlling a puppet. Where I feel like first person actually puts me in the shoes of the character and is far more immersive for me. I'm also not a fan of the camera and sightline issues third person creates (mostly talking shooters now). I prefer first person for just about everything... Shooting, flying, driving, fighting.
That said...
I wish I could get into that type of play. Those games look amazing and I really enjoyed them both... For about an hour.

Also, Excited for ESO launch on console!! But it will have to wait until after step 2.
Add me on PSN if you guys want to play sometime. I don't play much, but groups are always better than solo. Payne0707 is my ID.
War never changes.
Also, did anyone else notice that Diamond City is located inside Fenway Park?! Could this be Fallout 4's Megaton?! Somebody hold me!

Still working my way through Wolfenstein...
I will be planning time off work to coincide with the release. Yes, I am a huge nerd.
Love how they're staying true to the original. Was that Ron Perlman narrating? I'm terrible at identifying voices like that.
Anyone else have the original Fallout 1 paper manual with the recipes in it? I cherish mine almost as much as I cherish my Redguard Pocket Guide to Tamriel.
But Bethesda always delays the crap out of their releases. So annoying.

Still grinding Destiny. House of Wolves is a significant improvement.
Psn: Wynn_Nova
This might be okay if their games weren't also ridiculously buggy and limited in story/scope like New Vegas. That was horrific.
I like their games but Bethesda does annoy.
I've watched that trailer like 10 times since it was released a few hours ago. I've been waiting so many years for this announcement.

Sorry to hear. My wife just bought me a PS4 for my birthday, and I'm not a young 'un.

Played the shit out of F3 and New Vegas. Loved every minute of it.
I don't have a PS4 or new Xbox - will it only be availabe for PS4/Xbox One?
Probably (and PC)... And for the better. If they make it for last gen I hope they're completely separate projects (/different games). The last thing I want is it being weighed down by last gen like Destiny was.
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure they are only creating it for current-gen consoles + PC. So no PS3 or 360.
Thanks - might have to pick it up for PC then. Although, with new Mass Effect games coming out and now Fallout 4, it sure is making it tempting! Just have a hard time justifying dropping 5 bills on a new gaming system now that I'm in my mid 30's ;)

PS4 is $399 and Xbox One is $350 (if I'm not mistaken) and I'm pretty sure you can find games bundled in at that price with either. Amazon had the PS4 with a choice of several games at $399 recently.
