Sorry for linking TMZ, but this is a very troubling accusation, especially if the accusations are true and it has been going on for months.

EDIT: Apparently the Cowboys do not think the alleged abuse occured, and Ezekiel Elliott reportedly has messages of the accuser planning on setting him up.

I really hope it's not, you never like to hear about stuff like that.

Although, given good ol' Uncle Urbz' history over the years would it be surprising?

He's obviously referring to the "circle of trust" down in FL where key players were allowed to get away with all sorts of bad behavior. At this point, we don't have any info that suggests Urban knew about this, but if he did and ignored it, it would obviously be very troubling.

I just have really bad luck with my players turning in to criminals, murderers, and a general danger to society.

THis has nothing to do with my characer, guidance, or general values....nothing to do with how I mold young college men in to responsible adults.

Nope, nothing to see here.  BTW, would you like to join my circle of trust?

But also true is this is a thin report. If he's a thug, that's bad. However, at least what I read, it's tough to tell. There are no witnesses say there was an assault, including the person in the passenger seat. So, even though he's guilty of being a Buckeye, an egomaniac and and weird dresser, I think the jury is out on his guilt in something he hasn't even been charged with.

"According to the report, Elliott allegedly attacked Thompson while she was sitting the driver’s seat of her parked car. The report states that Elliott was not arrested due to conflicting reports from witnesses, but that Thompson was referred to the prosecutor’s office."

Uh...yeah.  Seems legit.

Not saying he didn't do it, but there are some looney girls out there who will make up stories if they think they're getting pushed off the gravy train.

Best to let the facts come in before we rush to judement.  The fact that he was not arrested probably gives some doubt to her story.

didn't say it in a condescending way.  He said the following: "I haven't seen any pictures of a bruised face, have you?"  OMG, what a dick!!  He was inquiring, many people had not seen those pictures.

And about those pictures, before Boliver goes and sentences Elliot himself, I am sure he can substantiate who took them, when they were taken, who is pictured in them, whether they were in any way doctored, Elliot's relationship with the person in the picture, and why the bruises were not noted in the police report.

Convicting people on the internet is a fantastic idea, cuz pictures.

LOL. I have no interest in "ground to stand on." I don't care about Ezekiel Elliott or maintaining his good name. I asked if there are pictures when nobody had posted pictures up to that point. It turns out there are pictures (but still not of her bruised face).

I thought part of the whole idea of a message board was discussion and sharing of information, but I guess questions aren't encouraged here.

This is going nowhere.

a) Brian Cook, the proprietor of MGoBlog, often uses two independent sources in his recruiting profiles, along with the main sites: Son of a Coach and Touch the Banner. If my analyses were so shallow, then my guess is he wouldn't use them. Furthermore, the Kingston Davis post a week or two ago included a blurb from me and another from Tyrone Wheatley that had us saying very similar things. Now if you have any specific qualms with my analysis, then feel free to let me know. Otherwise, there are just drive-by potshots like this one without any specific criticism whatsoever.

b) I would also be interested in your identifying any "insder info" that I have stolen from Rivals, Scout, or 247. I've never even had a subscription to Scout, and I'm not even on the Rivals or 247 boards very often.

I don't think anyone else on this site gets into more long, drawn out arguments over absolutely nothing. You always seem to have to have the last word on everything. Can't just read a comment and not worry about it.

Someone disagreed with you on the internet. It's ok, man. No need to get defensive.

a minute.  Nobody on here has even come close to suggesting that domestic violence is OK.  In fact, most people on this board are so sensitive to such topics that any suggestion that a person should be afforded due process results in claims of misogyny.  The only thing objectionable on this topic so far is that people believe that an allegation amounts to guilt.

People on this board can be all sorts of PC little babies all the time.  People get so offended with the word retarded.  I have 2 down syndrome nieces and I have never once been offended by the use of that word.   In my years at Michigan, the one thing that annoyed me more than anything were the vast swaths of SJW's and PC douchnozzles.  I love this school more than anything, but the uber lefty bs gets old fast.  I agree with you wholeheartedly that noone on this board thinks domestic violence is acceptable or OK and this doesn't look good at all for Ezekiel.

You are telling me if someone called your nieces retarded or retards to their face, you wouldn't be offended? And if you wouldn't accept that to be said to their face, why would you be ok with it in peoples general dialogue? I have rarely heard the word retarded used in a positive way in my life, and I am a special education teacher (mental retardation has only recently given way to intellectual disability). The word retarded per se does not bother me, what bothers me is the use of that word to describe someone who acts like a complete idiot. I am by no means politically correct, but I do believe comparing someone who does idiotic things and ought to know better to people with intellectual disabilities is marginalizing them as human beings.  I have a daughter with Down syndrome, and I have had individuals refer to her as a Mongoloid in my presence, and while I understand that was a common term used in our recent history, I found it pretty offensive. I don't go into fits of rage because that is counterproductive, but I do try to educate people when these issues come up.  Individuals with intellectual disabilities have enough of a stigma without having to be compared to idiots doing asinine things.

But haven't seen a lot of mysogyny...certainly not anything approaching a systemic problem.  Perhaps that's because we see things from a different perspective, much like you probably don't see or appreciate the ever greater feminization of our culture over the last 30 years or so.

I don't see where anybody is handling this incorrectly:

Law enforcement is taking it seriously.
Alleged victim is providing as much evidence as possible.
Alleged attacker provides 4 witnesses saying it didn't happen.

Somebody's lying here. It's ok to express doubt when a story doesn't add up. We do not know what happened - automatically assuming he's a dirtbag is just as unfair as dismissing her accusation (which nobody is doing). Anyone who beats women or ignores the beating of women is a bad person, and will be chastised appropriately.

Lighten the fuck up.
