OT Ex-Spartan Plaxico Burress gets 2-years

The former New York Giants star tearfully told his family goodbye as he surrendered to begin his sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon after accidentally shooting himself in the thigh. Damn a brother can't catch a break for shooting himself in the thigh. It's just Sparty being Sparty...

And filling a grand tradition of Michigan Wolverines as New York Giants; from Ron Johnson, to Jumbo Elliott to Amani Toomer, and many more in between. 2. "Free Plaxico Burress." I would have liked to have seen the judge say, "Son, the sentencing guidelines say I have to give you two years, but since you shot yourself in the leg I'm just going to give you probation and make you wear this hat that says JACKASS."
