But I believe he had a Michigan offer. Having said that, I believe the M coaches like each of their guys better than Lisle.
Roll Tide.
like him better then?

Lisle is just a little ahead of Dawson to me right now, but it's not by a lot. I'd take either of them on my team.
Roll Tide.
Gotta lock up the instate talent though, keep the Cass Tech Pipeline.
{Plus I wanted to know the outsiders POV.

It is going to be important to keep that pipeline going. 2014 looks to be another good year for Cass, especially the LBs.

Is it me, or does Urban go after players AFTER Alabama does? Like he lets Saban does his scouting for him. Similar in his Fla. days, he'd give out scolies after they had one from 'Bama. Seems like most of the Ohio offers also have ‘Bama offers now. Sure, something true to “quality recruits sought by top schools”. Anyone else notice it as a trend?
He'll have to watch our Offensive Line maul his Ohio team for the next four year. I like our o-line commits a lot
NR to 24/7 & Scout, but ESPN watch list and Rivals 100 member (83 overall). Held a Michigan offer, but the coaches didn't recruit him very hard, probably figured he was not an option (or liked our guys better).
COYS and Vive Le Rouge of Detroit FC!
How cute.
USING GRATUITOUS AMOUNTS OF CAPS LOCK SINCE APRIL 2011
The ones who will be pissed about this are probably ND fans, I think they thought they had a decent shot with him.
For sure. They said that now that we had our five guys, they'd get Pocic, Lisle and McGovern.
This means MSU gets no one.
Five Guys isn't bad, but nothing I'd go out of my way for. Now In-N-Out on the other hand....
.jpg)
No doubt about it. I'm fortunate enough to live within a few miles of both In-n-Out and Five Guys, and let's just say I don't go to Five Guys all that often, even though it was founded by a Michigan grad.
The original Five Guys, back in the DC area, was pretty darn good. When you walked in the door, the sign told you where the potatoes for that day's french fries came from and everything. The burger patties were made by hand, and all of that.
That formula doesn't translate so well to mega-franchising. What was awfully good became pretty unimpressive in a hurry. How you expand from DC to SoCal in ten years, while maintaining quality, is beyond me.
In-n-Out is probably making a good decision by staying local to SoCal. Their quality (IMHO) is still pretty darn good. Give me the Double-Double, animal-style of course, any day of the week . . .

re: In-n-Out; it is a lot easier to make a good decision when all your stores are company owned and not franchised.
A good decision by them not to franchise, I agree, but big difference. That being said, I believe the founder of In-n-Out has recently passed away and left the company to his son and daughter who have been arguing about impending expansion. Stay tuned.

Ya, Five Guys just has not been as good as it was in DC when I was there. Maybe because Ann Arbor has a lot of good burgers that aren't franchises and it weened me off Five Guys, I no longer see it as I used to. Part of this though has been a goal to eat less fast food burgers and save my burger intake for bars and restaurants that I really like. Also, had a friend who grew up in Colorado and had both In and Out and Five Guys in DC and he said he like In and Out the best. Biggest regret about my visit to Cali was not getting In and Out....damnit.

This picture is pure torture. I still saved it just for pure carniverous beauty but come on. Was it really necessary? I've been to In n Out twice (of course it was on one trip. It's impossible not to go multiple times if you're near one.) I would never go to any of the other comparable burger joints if In n Out was close by. It's way too good.
Denied by UM multiple times, nonetheless lifelong M fan.
I've never heard of these restuarants and I've lived in 4 different states.

The radiation they use to used to keep the burgers fresh gave them a distinct taste plus I could fill up for 3 bucks.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.
Hot 'n Now is the most platonic of all fast food restaurants. Ungodly cheap and almost not food, more cardboard painted with grease and salt.
Also, a budding entrepreneur in Midland, noting the success of Hot 'n Now, throughout Michigan, launched a knock-off called Sizzlin' Quick when I was in junior high. Hilarious.

From people I read, Pocic will probably end up at Illinois. Good for Illinois by the way.

Are these Illinois insiders or national analysts?

ND being his dream school and all.
He's only the 83rd ranked player according to Rivals. Urban must be disapointed with that.....

I like all five of our OL commits better. And all 8 of our other commits too.
I'd have to take Burrows
Dammit they are getting all the linemen we wanted in case one of our recruits left! Shit!

There are enough highly rated offensive linemen in the midwest for both schools to get full classes and be happy. There's enough to not be mad about the commits at the other school either. Good for them. Urban Meyer is putting together a nice class. So is Hoke. That's the way it should be.

That the "Ohio" fans only recognize a player as talented if he was offered by Urb. Their lack of an offer to Michael McCray Jr baffles me.
Roll Tide.
I've been wondering if there was a reason for that as well. We UM backers have always suspected that OSU steers away from offering Michigan leans. Thusly, they never lose a recruiting battle to us. :-)
"Underwear Wearing Basement Dweller"
I don't think McCray is a Michigan lean though (pre-not getting offered). He's a Buckeye legacy. 11W thinks it's because he's not fast enough for what Meyer wants on D and/or the coaching staff feels good about the other LBs they've offered. It's still a bit...baffling.

Do you mean you don't think he leans blue now, or just that he didn't originally?
Or more to the point, do you think we are in the running now? I had gotten the feel that he could be coming our way, but everyone has an opinion on these things . . . .
"Underwear Wearing Basement Dweller"
I meant originally. I was about to edit to clarify that I meant pre not getting offered by Ohio State. As far as right now, I think we're in the driver's seat. Mike Farrell of Rivals tweeted this earlier today:
Mike Farrell @rivalsmike Yes I do @jlump22: @rivalsmike do you like Michigan's chances with LB Mike McCray
With him visiting on the 6th and announcing on the 8th as well as his friendships with Charlton and Dukes, I feel pretty good about our chances.

I have about the same thoughts on him that you have listed. I don't want to count our chickens or anything, but I'd like to think we are strongly in the hunt for him.
In general, we have to expect certain players to be harder for us to swing, with OSU having the inside track. That being said, we can still poach some good talent from the state down south.
In fact, the occasional Heisman winner can even come our way . . . .
"Underwear Wearing Basement Dweller"
Well now there's this from McCray:
Mike J McCray II @MJM92013 S/O to @Dymonte1 one of the top players in Ohio
Mike J McCray II @MJM92013 S/O to @S_Morris12 one of the top QB's in the nation

I hope we get McCray and he never gets an Ohio offer. That way, he spends the next 4 years pissed at Meyer and has monster games against them.
Or I hope he commits to us, Ohio misses out on their other LB recruits, try to offer him, and he tells Urban to fuck off. That'd be cool too.
Special Teams means special times!
Were we hoping to get him? Not familiar with him at first glance . . . .
