The Italians had a flare to them against Belgium. It'll interesting to watch how they play this morning.

Probably because he is willing to do a ton of hard work and defend up and down the field. I don't really like him, but Conte doesn't care about flair or skill. He wants guys that buy into the team concept and do what they're asked. It's one of the reasons why Giovinco was pushed out. Giovinco was one of the more skilled Juve players, but he doesn't like to defend like Conte asks. So it was bye-bye Gio.

The Spain - Croatia match should be a good one. Both are looking to remain undefeated.  Spain handled a good Czech Republic team while the Croats beat Turkey.

This Croatia team has a decent chance to win the whole tournament. A lot of phenomenal players and Modric is just on a different level right now.

I'm Croatian and this is becoming ridiculous. These are not fans, they are hooligans (Torcida Split) who are anti-Croatian Soccer Federation and are purposely trying to get the national team banned. They already caused problems before, like the flare troubles in Milan and the swastika incident in Split. I'm not sure how you deal with these idiots... they are already banned from stadiums inside Croatia and should be on a hooligan black list for Euro and World Cup matches. I also don't understand how they can enter a stadium with as much as 10 flares. Where's the security?

BTW, they even announced that they were going to St. Etienne today to cause trouble...

They've been causing problems long before Suker became president of HNS. Honestly, Mamic/Suker are corrupt nobody argues that, but who in their right mind would turn to these idiots to fix anything? They're last on my list of who can fix the corruption and last people on the planet I'd want dictating any sort of leadership/policy.

Yeah of course I don't think it's the majority of the fanbase. The saddest part of all of this is that the other fans and players are punished. I remember the swastika incident well, which resulted in that match having to be played behind closed doors.

The Euro security has been awful so far. There have been flares (even after UEFA said they would do better) and fans running onto the pitch.

Some of the normal fans attacked the hooligans that started the trouble. These guys are lucky Tuđman is no longer in charge of Croatia or they would never see the light ever again. But thanks to the EU and their lack of action against hooligans/terrorists, these guys will get a slap on the wrist and be back to doing this again next time around.

Currently, they allow fans to bring in bags inside and not all of them get searched. It really shouldn't be that hard to institute a 'clear bag' policy like in the states.

There's also rumors that Torcida (the hooligan group responsible for this) got help from St. Etienne ultras (the local club supporters group) by hiding the flares inside the stadium so that the Croats could get them without having to sneak them in. That's probably how they were able to have that many flares.

Spain (4-3-3)

De Gea

Jordi Alba, Sergio Ramos, Pique (Mr. Shakira as my wife calls him), Juanfran

Iniesta, Busquets, Fabregas

Nolito, Alvaro Morata, David Silva

Turkey (4-3-3)

Babacan

Erkin, Balta, Topal, Gonul

Ozyakup, Inan, Tufan

Turan, Yilmaz, Calhanoglu

No Sahin, which is a surprise. Turkey's lineup, even against Spain, is much more offensive than it was against Croatia.
