OT: ESPN Insider w/1 yr subscription $3

 

With the amount of rumors posted from ESPN Insider or from columnists on there, everyone complains/asks how to get access - this is the cheapest way. Tying your subscription account # to your ESPN.com login allows full access. And no I don't work for TWWL or this site, just trying to pass it on.

Pops up as $26 but upon entering the coupon code (ESPN), it will be $2.99+ free S/H

Use coupon "ESPN" for discount. Insider is a free service for ESPN the Magazine subscribers - very easy process once the subscription is bought and the only quirk, IIRC, was you need to call once a year to have them activate the Insider subscription again due to it being 'promotional.'

If this fails the smell test for the mods, feel free to delete (fwiw, I just renewed my dad's so I know it works).

Subscription to the mag on Amazon. It's only like 13 bucks. Then you can activate ESPN Insider a week hater for free.

It works.  Now I just have to decide if I want the magazine showing up in my mailbox.  I have been on a crusade to stop all paper mail.  This may have to be an exception.

I've never actually seen the magazine - how is it?

I'm the same way.  Every couple of years, I call all of the numbers on the various mags I get that I don't ask for and cancel that ish.

 

ESPN Mag is OK.  I think it's more sizzle than substance, but what would you expect from the organization that made "boo yah" a popular phrase?

If you want to stop all paper mail, you probably want to pass on ESPN The Mag. I got a subscription when it first came out. They misspelled my address on the label , which I thought was funny...at first. Then I started receiving hundreds of pieces of junk mail with this misspelled address. So I can assure you they will sell your address to any and everyone that asks. This was many years ago and to this day I still occasionally get mail with the goofy address. I cancelled after the first cycle. I'm sure other companies do this too, but I know directly where to put the blame on this one.

 I've never watched "Rudy" because I can't stand notre dame.

I did this deal a couple months ago on a deal site like this and I still can't activate my insider, so be prepared to wait like 2 months + before you can even get on insider. Didn't apply to Geaux since he was renewing

First time I got in on this deal it took more than two months for me as well.  I think they say 8-10 weeks and they use nearly every day of it. ESPN has a few ways to activate the insider, but the easiest is using your magazine subscription code on the front of the magazine.

and found the magazine to be really useless and a waste of paper. Example: They have a column on "Mike & Mike's take on..." some subject like Bret Favre. It's an exchange that would take 2-3 minutes of air time on the radio but they make it into a "column" and pass it off as magazine content. They're practically giving it away because they put no effort into writing or photography (like SI does) and convince advertisers that they're getting a lot of eyeballs.

I don't remember ever feeling glad I had the "Insider" info either, but that's just me.

Just as a warning

A bunch of people did this on another forum last year, and they were charged full price the next year. So, if you do this, keep an eye on it.

I did this before and got a shitload of ESPN magazines which I still keep around here and haven't thrown away (hoarder)

I could do without the magazine but the ESPN Insider access seems intriguing, especially for 3 dollars a year. I wonder if there is any way to opt out of the magazine though, I don't need more crap to hoard
