Y'know, people can complain all they want about ESPN hyping up SEC teams, but it rings pretty hollow when the SEC consistently wins the big matchups at the end of the year.  I'm sure the SEC West is a little overrated this year, but it's hard to say much when they've proven it on the field for the better part of a decade.

Yes, they win the final game but its hard to win the game if you aren't even invited.   When SEC teams lose in conference it shows the strength of the conference.  When B1G or other conference teams lose in conference, it shows that there are no great teams in that conference.  Its a self fulfilling prophecy.

And look at last year, Bama didn't make the NCG after losing to Auburn and then lost to Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl yet the story was that Alabama was better but were disappointed they were in a "consolation" game, so you can't really consider it a loss.

This year, Bama should probably be one of the lowest ranked one-loss teams because they haven't beaten anyone yet I'm sure they'll be in the top 5 or 6 becaus SEC RULES!!!!

It's not just the championship game.  They're 17-10 in BCS games total, and they generate more NFL picks than any other conference.  Aren't those reasonable objective indicators?  Haven't they earned the benefit of the doubt at this point?

Um, no?   The Pac-12 is 13-8 for a .620 winning pct compared to .630 for the SEC yet no one claims the Pac-12 is an elite conference top to bottom.  In the last two years the SEC is 1-3 in the BCS games.  Yes they have won the National Championship game and they have had elite teams but its horseshit to say that they should get any benefit of the doubt based on prior performance and the entire conference is elite (or at least that the top 6-8 teams are all elite)

The SEC is so awesome top to bottom that two middling Big 12 teams were at the top of the SEC in their first or second year in the conference.

Agree.  And I know most around here won't like this notion as it's not statistical and doesn't measure data and put it into charts but the EYBALL test says the SEC lives up to the hype.  It's annoying, yes, and sure they may prop themselves up a bit by "beating one another" but for the most part they look like the conference with the most amount of quality teams.  The Pac-12 and Bix 12 are stepping their games up as well.

is "Hey you guys ever heard that song What Does the Fox Say? It's pretty good but I have a hard time believing that foxes beep and ding and pow like they do in the song. That can't be what they really say. "

I don't know why but made me laugh hard

I honestly wish/hope it was only rivalry-induced mockery and not something else... b/c when you think of who's the least articulate and/or intelligent person up there, you damn sure dont think Dez. Not with Corso's incoherence being spewed every Saturday.

and it had potential, but missed on a few jokes.  Their making fun of Desmond was pretty good, I suppose we would have done the same in reverse to Herbie.

I thought it was funny. I get it; the SEC is good. The problem is it's all we hear about. Yes the SEC is the best conference, but there's some other good leagues out there. Let's talk more about them!

and they never mentioned Dantonio once.  ESS-EEE-SEE baby!  God, the B1G sucks!  See, if we get harbaugh, then it'll be competitive and interesting again.  If we get cheapo coach, ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!

The Desmond part is funny to most Ohio State fans because it makes them feel less insecure about all the times they chased squirrels and lost their wallets. Good one 11W!!
