OT: End of Weekend Drinking Thread

Submitted by jsquigg on

Another week and another month in the rearview.  I'm enjoying some Bell's Best Brown Ale for the first time and it's quite tasty.  Went to Munster, IN for my birthday just to have some of Three Floyds phenomenal beer.  I would recommend that to anyone, although Founders and Bell's have better atmosphere, Three Floyds takes a back seat to no one when it comes to beer IMO, at least in the midwest.  What's everyone else enjoying?

in fact, the Brewmaster at Thirsty Dog used to be the Brewmaster for Great Lakes Brewery, but left in a dispte oer money and Thirsty Dog offered an ownership stake.  Thirsty Dog's 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale gives Great Lakes Christmas Ale a run for its money, that is for certain.  I am a fan of many of their brews besides their Christmas offering: Irish Setter Red, Twisted Kilt, and Old Leghumper, to name a few

Not bad, but extremely run of the mill.  Rocking out on the ipod and doing expenses.

Have run the gamut from Monster Magnet to Long Beach Dub All Stars, Toad the Wet Sprocket to Black Flag.

Water. Only to wash down a gram each of tylenol & ibuprofen. Got a bad cold coming on. I hurt everywhere and it's almost monday. The thought of drinking right now practically makes me wretch. Whats the deal with you people, you only drink on days that are days?

I had more to drink this weekend than I have in a long time, including getting drunk tonight. Only slept like 7 hours total. It should be fun getting up at 6 AM tomorrow.

Man... I had some delicious beer this weekend.

I had Goose Island Pepe Nero, which is extremely good if you haven't tried it. Today I had Thirsty Dog Barktoberfest and a split a Goose Island Matilda. Both extremely good.

After 15 years of 85-95 losses per year we are celebrating this to the hilt. No work tomorrow....no chance! Looking forward to winning the East and likely playing Tigers in the ALDS next weekend. Shame that Michigan isn't at home....a double header would have been fun on Saturday!

Not drinking anything last night because of work this morning but it will be nice to get back to my regular Friday routine of drinking at Ashley's this week. The last two weeks I have been busy on Saturday with work and taking out the boat/dock up at Higgins so I was not able to go out on Friday.

Hopefully Breakfast Stout comes on tap like it always does during the cold months and some other favorites show up. Backwoods Bastard would be nice but that usually doesn't hit bars until early November.
