Another week and another month in the rearview. I'm enjoying some Bell's Best Brown Ale for the first time and it's quite tasty. Went to Munster, IN for my birthday just to have some of Three Floyds phenomenal beer. I would recommend that to anyone, although Founders and Bell's have better atmosphere, Three Floyds takes a back seat to no one when it comes to beer IMO, at least in the midwest. What's everyone else enjoying?
OT: End of Weekend Drinking Thread
Did you lean over and type this on your laptop mid coitus?
with spaghetti and reruns of The Office. College life.
my man. dr. pepper & some pulled pork I slow cooked ... in dr. pepper. PhD life.
Speaking of Dr. Pepper. Watching Washington St. yesterday made me want to drink the manly Dr. Pepper 10.
Drinking a Thirsty Dog brewing company Barktoberfest. The only thing bad about this beer is that it is made in Ohio.
Where in Ohio?
It's in Akron. They make some decent beers.
in fact, the Brewmaster at Thirsty Dog used to be the Brewmaster for Great Lakes Brewery, but left in a dispte oer money and Thirsty Dog offered an ownership stake. Thirsty Dog's 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale gives Great Lakes Christmas Ale a run for its money, that is for certain. I am a fan of many of their brews besides their Christmas offering: Irish Setter Red, Twisted Kilt, and Old Leghumper, to name a few
I like the craft beers also; it makes my alcoholism seem like a socially accepted hobby.
Had this today for the first time, and its fantastic!!! Second best Oktoberfest I've ever had, only behind Great Lakes Brewing Company Oktoberfest
Whole milk with Hershey's Syrup.
Why not milk?
It's a bad choice, trust me.
Red Bull and a two liter of mountain dew, followed up likely by some coffee later...
It's going to be a late night in the library.
Not bad, but extremely run of the mill. Rocking out on the ipod and doing expenses.
Have run the gamut from Monster Magnet to Long Beach Dub All Stars, Toad the Wet Sprocket to Black Flag.
Magic Hat Hex, which is surprisingly decent given that #9 is the most overrated beer in the history of overrated beers.
I thought that was Oberon?
Sometimes a nice glass of cran-apple juice is the way to go
Nice cold cups of Tejava for me. IMO, the best unsweetened bottled tea.
Bad day, Bacardi 151. Shots, multiple shots...
At least you can still spell and punctuate correctly, you must be early in the process or extremely lucky. Also, good luck with your Monday morning.
Water. Only to wash down a gram each of tylenol & ibuprofen. Got a bad cold coming on. I hurt everywhere and it's almost monday. The thought of drinking right now practically makes me wretch. Whats the deal with you people, you only drink on days that are days?
Just the ones that end in "y"
Enjoying a Bell's Amber Ale which is absolutely awesome while watching the SNF game. Earlier I had a New Belgium Trippel which was also quite good.
Drinking (not hating, but not enjoying) some Michelob Ultra . . . left by the weekend's guests. At least I'm not going to get drunk, right?
...you may get wet.
Damn it. This thread somehow convinced me to open a beer at 11:07pm on a Sunday night. Goose Island Harvest Ale.
Ice water with a couple squirts of peach ice tea MiO.
Man... I had some delicious beer this weekend.
I had Goose Island Pepe Nero, which is extremely good if you haven't tried it. Today I had Thirsty Dog Barktoberfest and a split a Goose Island Matilda. Both extremely good.
New drink called Mutt Fuckers.. Also, I quit drinking today
Had a Sixpoint Righteous Ale with dinner and that is it.
After 15 years of 85-95 losses per year we are celebrating this to the hilt. No work tomorrow....no chance! Looking forward to winning the East and likely playing Tigers in the ALDS next weekend. Shame that Michigan isn't at home....a double header would have been fun on Saturday!
Drinking Bintang Pilsner in Bali Indonesia. Wife day is actually family week due to the Chinese holiday this week.
West coast IPA with citra hops. Deliciously hoppy.
Not drinking anything last night because of work this morning but it will be nice to get back to my regular Friday routine of drinking at Ashley's this week. The last two weeks I have been busy on Saturday with work and taking out the boat/dock up at Higgins so I was not able to go out on Friday.
Hopefully Breakfast Stout comes on tap like it always does during the cold months and some other favorites show up. Backwoods Bastard would be nice but that usually doesn't hit bars until early November.
I live in GR and have already had plenty of Breakfast Stout and it is amazing.
Drinking at the pool. It's 95, sunny and I'm slightly intoxicated. Some lemonade vodka drink is working really well right now
