OT: Eminem and Jay Z Concert @ Comerica Sept 2

Submitted by Rico616 on

So announced a few minutes ago on ESPN Tigers-Yankees game, Eminem and Jay Z will be doing two shows, one in Detroit @CoPa Sept 2nd and one in NYC @Yankee Stadium Sept 13th. Eminem will headline Detroit and Jay Z headline NYC.

Should easily sell out as Jay Z and Eminem are easily the two biggest acts in Hip Hop. I might have to look into getting tickets as long as they dont get too crazy with the ticket prices!

I have never understood JZ's popularity.  His performance on SNL was yet another good example of his lack of flow.  Good lyrics, bad delivery.  IMHO.  However, anyone who can go to this concert, should.  I saw in Eminem in the Palace back in the day and it was epic.  He always brings his best when performing in Detroit.

More! The interview was about as stiff as Impemba's presumptive dance moves. (Impemba): "So Eminem, how long have you been "Rapping." Apparently Mario thought Alfonso Ribiero was joining them instead of Jay-Z and Eminem.

They were on the Yankee broadcast also with Michael Kay and Ken Singleton, and they were pretty stiff there as well.  Kind of funny - they looked they weren't sure how to act.  Sure it will be much different on stage.

Definitely an awkward interview on ESPN IMO. I mean, Eminem basically admitted that he wasn't much of a baseball fan! Plus with old guys who don't know shit about rap music conducting the interview, it's inevitable that it will happen. I'm just glad there's going to be a concert at Comerica because it's going to be awesome.

I'm having trouble confirming this but I read that tickets go on sale June 12th.

Edit: I also just read that they haven't announced yet when tickets will be on sale so idk what to believe.
