OT: Eminem and Jay Z Concert @ Comerica Sept 2
So announced a few minutes ago on ESPN Tigers-Yankees game, Eminem and Jay Z will be doing two shows, one in Detroit @CoPa Sept 2nd and one in NYC @Yankee Stadium Sept 13th. Eminem will headline Detroit and Jay Z headline NYC.
Should easily sell out as Jay Z and Eminem are easily the two biggest acts in Hip Hop. I might have to look into getting tickets as long as they dont get too crazy with the ticket prices!
Rod and Mario made that interview about as awkward as possible...
Rod and Mario tried. If either Eminem or Jay Z could talk, the entire interview would have been just fine.
LoL did they? I was watching the ESPN feed and Eminem seemed a little nervous. I saw him at Ford Field and it was packed! Can only imagine how many people will be at Comerica. Shit they need to hold it at the Big House!
Seems like all of Eminem's songs are the same, poor me i had a bad childhood, say's his kids names a couple of times, christ your a millionire get over it
I'll pay extra if Cone takes the mike.
Honestly, he should. He's not any worse than Jay Z, that's for damn sure.
Jay Z blllllllllooooooooowwwwwwwwws
20 years? His debut album was in 1996. That isn't 20 years. And if you believe that he never puts his lyrics down on paper, you aren't very intelligent.
I have never understood JZ's popularity. His performance on SNL was yet another good example of his lack of flow. Good lyrics, bad delivery. IMHO. However, anyone who can go to this concert, should. I saw in Eminem in the Palace back in the day and it was epic. He always brings his best when performing in Detroit.
More! The interview was about as stiff as Impemba's presumptive dance moves. (Impemba): "So Eminem, how long have you been "Rapping." Apparently Mario thought Alfonso Ribiero was joining them instead of Jay-Z and Eminem.
They were on the Yankee broadcast also with Michael Kay and Ken Singleton, and they were pretty stiff there as well. Kind of funny - they looked they weren't sure how to act. Sure it will be much different on stage.
yeahh budday
Definitely an awkward interview on ESPN IMO. I mean, Eminem basically admitted that he wasn't much of a baseball fan! Plus with old guys who don't know shit about rap music conducting the interview, it's inevitable that it will happen. I'm just glad there's going to be a concert at Comerica because it's going to be awesome.
Our 4th string QB > Eminem
this would be a great show if eminem were not going to be there.
I'm having trouble confirming this but I read that tickets go on sale June 12th.
Edit: I also just read that they haven't announced yet when tickets will be on sale so idk what to believe.
According to HipHopSite.com its June 2nd, I saw on another website June 12th. I'll just be on the look out for both dates.

Those are two pretty big time acts, no question. I have a bunch of Eminem ringtones and really love his music but have never heard him in person.
