OT: Ellis McCarthy flips from Cal to UCLA

It appears the first domino has fallen from Lupoi's move to UW from Cal. Ellis McCarthy, one of the Army game commits, has flipped to UCLA.

While I'm not getting my hopes up about Payton or Shittu it's nice to see a precedent has been set.

Cal is the other team I follow, being the other school that I have a degree from. Lupoi is now above (below?) Justin Boren on the s**t list, and Washington is almost to the level of MSU on the list of teams that I want to see lose every game in the most agonizing way imaginable. If he had waited until the recruiting cycle was over, it would have been different.

With regards to timing, I don't understand. One of the most deceitful things a coach can do is recruit kids to a school, while knowing he's on his way out the door.
<br>Granted, kids need to select a school, not a coach. However, its often the relationships with these coaches that bring kids to a specific school. After all, they're trusting these coaches to teach them on and off the field, probably hoping these coaches can teach them the necessary skills to help them reach the pro level.
<br>I think it's a good thing that the coach made the move now, givin these kids time to review their own decisions.

Being a former Seattle resident and knowing something about that program (not as a fan), I'm curious why you would hate on the Huskies since they've pretty much been irrelevant in the PAC10/12 for years. There are so many other schools like Stanford, USC, UCLA and Oregon that would seem more worthy of your ire.
