Barcelona vs Real Madrid for the second leg of the Copa del Rey. Tough order for Real on the road and down a goal.

I really want Barcelona to lose. I'm tired of the game they play holding the ball 70% of the time and winning everything. Even though i dont like Mourino, i like even less Barcelona. So far Real is playing a lot better but that's how it always is between this two.

I think Barca plays a very aesthetic type of soccer with their amazing one touch passing.  It also helps having someone like Messi who makes it looks like the ball is stuck on his foot.

what Barcelona does is not easy, boring, or simple by any means. Keeping the ball 70% of the time using 1 touch and 2 touch passing, off the ball movement, a high back line, and quick short passes is the most difficult, yet the most beautiful way the game is won.

Last week Barcelona's keeper completed more passes than ANYONE on the opposing team.

Just because you dont understand the strategy doesnt mean it's boring.  it just means you should go back to playing Fifa.

Barca fans remind me of Apple fanboys.

Where were y'all in the 90s when Rivaldo et al couldn't get a sniff of the UCL trophy?

FWIW Barca plays a beautiful possession game...and are the most blatant floppers around.  Love it that Pepe has been thugging it up in the middle for Real recently against Barca.

I really don't know what else he can change. They came out guns blazing on offense because they were a goal down and determined to take it to Barcelona right away. Granted it took a while, but Barcelona was able to take advantage of that on the counter attack that was the 1st goal.

If he presses more that would just open up more holes defensively.

I am expecting a lineup shakeup, and would not be surprised if Diarra is replaced because him getting a second yellow would be bad (and this game seems to be approaching a level where lots of yellows could be handed out).

This doesn't surprise me. Real brought their guys further up to attack more, and instead of responding by attacking, Barca just seemed to be more comfortable just choking the life out of the game.

Yellow Cards: 7-1

Fouls: 29-15

And we complain when the officials hate on Michigan!

What was the reason for taking away the Sergio Ramos goal early in the second half?  I was watching in spanish and my translating skills are not what they used to be.

The Ramos goal was nullified because there was a foul before the ball arrived.

And honestly (you may see me as being biased, but I am a soccer coach so I do have the ability to look at officiating objectively) the game was well officiated.

Madrid simply commits more fouls than Barca... they have to in order to stop Barca's style of play. Diara easily shouldve been sent off before half, Pepe's late challenge on Alves shoulv'de been a straight red, as he was the last defender.
