Miami dominating early
DET up 7-0
SF dominating JAX
getting much playing time for the Jags?
getting much playing time for the Jags?
SF has had the ball the majority of the time, they do let JAX run 3 plays at a time though so far.
Are we there yet?
Should have started Tannehill over Romo today. :(
I haven't watched the cowboys much this year, but is Romo hurt? His arm looks really really weak
That's what some Cowboys fan in the livechat were saying, and a couple throws he has just blatantly underthrown his receivers
Yeah, that's what it looks like. Passes just aren't getting there.
First game of year verse Giants he hurt his ribs pretty bad.
2 carries 2 yards so far
Horrible PI call on Miami.
Amedola and Gronk playing today.
Tom Brady is killing my fantasy team
I stopped playing Brady weeks ago and started playing Russel Wilson.
NYG just kicked their 4th FG in an ugly game, glad it's moving quickly.
Idk who the Pats OC is, but dont understand why he calls so many damn running plays
Very sad. Very sad indeed.
Jason puts Philly at the 2. Vick is hurt or benched.
59 Total Yards for the half. Down 17-3.
JAX just got a first down!!
This Dallas-Detroit game is annoyingly predictable right now.
Hopefully Morgan and Ross were watching that play.
Changed the game for Dallas.
Brady drives NE to a score, now all alone at 4th all-time in TD passes.
NE forces fumble, NE scores...tie game at 17's
JAX and Henne driving, a holding calls brings back a nice 15 or 20 yard run by Denard.
It was apparently a 35 yard run. Since it was called back I assume no one will be posting video of it, but I'd love to see it.
That's not a loaf of bread Reggie..
Dallas has done next to nothing and they have the ball and a 3 point lead.
Why do the Lions make it so hard to watch them?
Ineptitude at its finest.
I don't even know what to say at this point. Lions choking like the Lions like to choke.
You were awesome
That sucks, just had to look that up.
He was great.
What a pick by NE
That's not the case any longer.
Reggie Bush has more dings than a 25 yr old used car.
Nothing like a touchdown dance while losing the game with 7:00 to play.
Might be the worst in NFL history.
And now the secondary is back to being a siv again.
That wasn't good for The Lions.
What's worse the secondary or the special teams?
Tears his acl. He is such a douche
How classy of you.
It was classy if him to yell fuck yeah into the camera
Wishing injury on anybody is the epitome of low class, grow up.
I hope one of his teammates punches him in the face.
You almost got your wish. Thank you Jason Witten
Guy is insane
that Michigan DB's can make the league now
Barkley took over for a benched Vick. They didn't score on Offense.
He didn't even seem to have control of the ball.
If somebody told me Devon bess took money to throw the game for the Browns id believe it. Fumbled a punt return and four drops - the last one on a 4th and 6 that would've extended a drive.....unreal
Here we go
He can't watch it either.
I give up on the Lions until next Sunday
Yet another great day by Calvin Johnson wasted. Same Ol Lions
Same ol Lions.
This team isn't bad talent wise
I would have bet they were going to atleast put the game in OT. Pretty shitty series.
This is a mediocre team with mediocre coaches, players, and management. I'd say flush it, but what good would that go so long as Ford is around?
I really doubt WCF is the problem anymore. I just don't think the GM is very good nor is the coach he hired. Not bad, not great. We need to send a truck full of money to get Parcells or Polian out of retirement and let them the run the team.
While I agree I'm not sure this game is really on Schwartz. The Liobs best players are responsible for their turnovers, Calvin drops a pass and it's picked. Staffird telegraphs a slant and it's picked, and then 2 terrible fumbles from Reggie and Calvin.
Beginning if the end? I would say the story arc is coming to its conclusion.
It's not over yet.
omg omg omg
HOLY SHIT IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Take that Cowboys
I'll eat my words now. Holy shit!
Currently going crazy
Wish they'd have given it to Reggie but I'll take the W.
Ballsy play by Stafford. Love it.
14 catches for 329
336 is record.
Most exciting end to a Lions game just about ever.
God I love Stafford. Nothing tops the Cleveland game from I believe was his rookie season but this is close.
I DON'T HAVE CABLE
The Lions pulled victory out of their own massive butt of defeat.
Thats what happened!
N the lions favor. They already changed the -4 TO stat and eberything. They declared the new records...unbelievable. I was telling my wife thwy shouldn't do that xuz its not over....I never thought theyd actually come back.
631 yards of offense in a professional game is just unreal. What an ending to one of the more frustrating lions game ever.
And the funny thing is that the Lions didn't even play that well offensively, what with 4 TOs. It felt a bit like that Citrus Bowl against Florida where UM just ran them off the field but it was still close because apparently Mike Hart angered some fumble god.
Absolutely. That game was so frustrating because it seemed clear the Lions were the better team with the better gameplan yet they were constantly killing themselves all game long.
to read the comments when it looked like the Lions were going to lose.
what a big holding call on the Cowboys...
Matt Stafford drives down in 1 minute, becomes legend.
I was at that game a couple years ago. That and Penn St/UM with Manninghams Last second TD were by far the two best sporting events i have ever attended.
Games like this make me wish there was an NFL TWIS.
So many factors. Declining the Dallas penalty on 4th down to save some clock, Johnson being tackled at the 1 to waste clock and Stafford reaching over forthe score when the whole O-Line was expecting a spike.
That was sweet as hell. The Lions probably won't win a game like that for at least another 20 years.
Then there is the infamous "Romo no!"(two pick 6's) game where the Lions beat the Cowboys on a last second touchdown pass.
It's funny retreading this comment thread. Some of you guys are bigger douche bags than Dez. Well done.
legitimate form of protest.
Anyways, you are wrong.
Dez Bryant slapped his mother and undermines his team with his selfish behavior on the sidelines.. Ranting fans, however annoying they are to you, do not have the same effect. You should save your words for those who threaten players and coaches lives, like some idiots did to Sam Martin last week.
Jesus, chill out. As if I was being 100% serious with the Dez Bryant comment. You really need to worry about something else.
I'm not the one comparing pissed off fans to a lunatic. Anyways, if you were being facetious you could note that with a /s. Sarcasm doesn't come off well when it is in the written word.
Twitter, not here.
Just went back and reread the thread also. Pretty pathetic. Doom & gloom to yay!
Welcome to a game thread that is capturing a comeback win. Are you really surprised that emotional people write silly things?
Hey, some people are new to the hindsight thing.
And I find the criticism amusing considering how often this board meltsdown. This thread was mild in comparison to what goes on after a loss/near loss to crappy team.
I would bet money this thread is G rated comparred to a Michigan Football Saturday
That final drive was a thing of beauty: Three big passes by Stafford and then the surprise at the 1/2 yard line of calling for the spike but then 'showing' the ball across the goal line for the TD, all with about a minute to go in the game.
5-3! Can you imagine the uproar 'round these parts if our Wolverines were 5-3? In Motown it makes for a good week, way to go Lions!
This is the worst analogy. The NFL has a playoff system. Fewer teams. The percentage of teams that make the playoffs is higher than the two who make the BCS title game. You don't have to be perfect to get in the playoffs. Please don't ever compare the two leagues like this ever again. A 10-6 team could easily win the Super Bowl while a 9-3 team cannot come close to winning the title in college.
ESPN guys said some interesting things on Sportscenter. One, the Lions are definitely a high-ceiling, low-floor team right now. Very true. Makes them a pretty captivating watch, too.
Second was that people who liked Brett Favre's style ought to be loving Stafford. The word "gunslinger" got turned into an overused cariacature, but Stafford flies by the seat of his pants a lot the way Favre used to. That goal-line dive was awesome.
