OT- Eagles want a top 42 pick for McNabb

What I really want to happen is for the Eagles to trade McNabb and then watch their franchise flounder. All McNabb has ever done is win, Yet that city bitches about him like he is Joey Harrington.

Any Questions?

I want the house of spears in Detroit.
the Rams give up the first pick in the 2nd round. With day long break between rounds 1 and 2.. that pick is way more valuable. They'd be crazy to do that. The depth they could get if they trade it... or the young player if they keep it is too much.
And then the talk of it being the #33 and their safety (who can't be traded until he signs his tender, although he'd probably sign it if he knew he was part of a deal to Philly.) that talk is even more crazy.
I think it's safe to assume unless the Eagles settle for a third that St. Louis will go with Bradford.

Of course Philly take issue with McNabb...Santa Clause delivers every year and they pelted him with snowballs.

and 1 Super Bowl are not good enough for a franchise that has done pretty much squat before him.
I'm not an Iggles fan but I have a lot of respect for McNabb and if they think Kolb or Vick is going to do better so be it.Not to poke fun of Detroit or Buffalo or San Fran but the Iggles should look to those teams and see what happens when you don't have a good starting QB in the NFL.
The problem wasn't McNabb it's that they Eagles don't like to run the ball and always put the blame on the QB as he has to throw it 50 times a game to win it for them. For a team that has no Super Bowl rings it is shame that they think they are Dallas or Pittsburgh because they are not. Since everyfan here likes to brag about their great history when they have none.

and you've got yourself a deal.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. There's still plenty of meat on that bone. Now you take this home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you've got a stew going.

McNabb has never been loved in Philly. But it's ok because he'll go somewhere else and they'll love him.
Man what I would have done to see him on the Lions producing all these years like he has.
I actually think it would be win-win for the Eagles and McNabb. The Eagles get their draft pick and the chance to start their future franchise QB, McNabb gets a fresh start to go out and get the chance to win a championship.

They're trying to trade him while he's worth something. It's a business decision.
they will get a 2nd round pick (actually, they may get worse, but want a 2nd round pick) and have Kevin Kolb, who's QB rating in 2009 was 64%.
Actually, it almost doesn't matter because 1) Philly fans will never be happy and 2) the games will always be sold out.
Yeah getting rid of the best QB to ever to wear a eagles jersey is a good business decision, while he is only 31-32 years old, for Kevin Kolb lol hey do the NFL east a favor and trade him than the Cowboys Redskins and G-men don't have to worry about the eagles making the playoffs. Kevin Kolb what a joke, Philly never deserved a QB like McNabb
As a Redskins fan, I can't wait for the Kevin Kolb era to begin
With the way revenue sharing works in the NFL, they make money even if Ryan Leaf is the Qb. It's not all about winning (or there wouldn't be a Browns or Raiders) Maybe they bundle the 2nd round pick with another pick and move up or get another player via trade?
I'm not an Eagles fan so I don't know what they have available, but time has shown that the present incarnation of the Eagle isn't going to win a SB.
I am a Vikings fan, and I would love to have McNabb. He ran Chilis offense for years. I like Favre but there is a lot of drama there. With McNabb he comes in now and does the offseason work without the media asking about if Favre is coming back or not.
As a packers fan this would be awful. With old #4 at the controls a late game arm punt is a sure thing, while McNabb is a 4th & Impossible waiting to be completed. Please come back Brett for the packers sake.
McNabb is a borderline HOFer. Kolb may not be that good, but he's a damn good QB. I'd do the same thing if I were the Iggles.
that said, I have no idea what the fans in Philly are doing. However, I vaguely remember them giving Mike Schmidt grief from time to time.
I've hated McNabb ever since he ruined that beautiful Saturday afternoon my senior year. It was 38-7 when the fourth quarter started.

As we were leaving the stadium, my buddy said "I guess now I know how it would feel to go to Northwestern."
Seriously though, he'd be a big improvement at QB for like 75% of NFL teams.
Come to Buffalo McNabb we would love you. Plus why wouldn't he sign an extension, he's coming back basically to where it all began in the Cuse.
I love the sheer randomness of that number.
In basketball news, Evan Smotrycz is a top 52 national player, according to Rivals.
I live in Philly and I'm a huge Eagles fan. I have to say the national perception of how the Philly fans treat McNabb is ridiculous. Sure, there are fans that can't stand him and don't appreciate him but believe it or not those idiot fans are still the minority. I've always been a McNabb supporter and I still like him as a QB but he's been here 12 years and we haven't won the big game yet. It's just time to move in another direction. I'm sure he'll win wherever he goes but I just don't think he has what it takes to win a Bowl and that's all we in Philly care about.
And Kevin Kolb does? Kevin Kolb will never be close to as good as McNabb.
Yeah, well, I wanted a pony for Christmas and I didn't get that, either.
McNabb is going to turn 34 in November ('76 birthdate), but he's going to be an old 34. He's been banged up pretty good and he's missed games because of it. He's failed to finish a couple of seasons due to injuries, IIRC. I've got the feeling that's just not going to go away.
If any team gives up a 1st or 2nd rounder for a 34-year old QB their entire front office should be fired immediately, if not sooner.
