OT: Duke/Ohio Thread
Can't both lose. Not pulling for anyone here. I mean Duke, like Ohio, is four letter word.
Prediction: Ohio 72 Duke 75

Let's go Duke!
November 28th, 2012 at 9:39 PM ^
I think that Duke wins by at least 10
November 28th, 2012 at 9:43 PM ^
Worst state ever and lebron hates ohio shirts spotted in the cameron crazies!

for the challenge title. GT is up on Illinois with the half winding down, BC and PSU is early, as is OSU and Duke.
I'm not exactly sure why we want to win the challenge enough to root for OSU though. Then again, the alternative is Duke. I guess I'd rather just keep my mind off such things.

If I were an article of clothing, which state would I think is the worst ever?
November 28th, 2012 at 9:47 PM ^
maine.

Then I saw Kraft's goofy face and I remembered I hate them. Go Duke
November 29th, 2012 at 3:58 AM ^
Gotta say, I didn't know the animosity carried over to basketball so much. I actually actively root for UM basketball, assuming they aren't playing us
November 29th, 2012 at 4:29 PM ^
It does.
Go Blue!
November 28th, 2012 at 9:50 PM ^
who to root for
November 28th, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
Just noticed that Greg Paulus is on Ohio's bench. He's a video coordinator for them apparently. Interesting
November 28th, 2012 at 9:57 PM ^
I thought it was strange that he would be grabbing Thomas, but then I realized that he is on the OSU staff.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:58 PM ^
Sorry double post
November 28th, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
Illinois 36 GA Tech 35 at half
November 28th, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
If the big ten wins 6 it keeps the trophy right? If so, then we just need 1 of osu, illinois, psu to win. I'll root for penn state.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:59 PM ^
need 7
November 28th, 2012 at 10:10 PM ^
so what happens if its 6-6? Who wins/gets the trophy?
November 28th, 2012 at 10:11 PM ^
that chaos will ensue or probably not
really, who gives a shit if that ends up happening, means the conferences are pretty even from top to bottom, we may have more heavy hitters this year
November 28th, 2012 at 10:15 PM ^
I don't particularily give a shit...I was just curious.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:26 PM ^
but I was just being a smart ass, sorry bro
November 28th, 2012 at 10:12 PM ^
retains trophy
November 28th, 2012 at 9:56 PM ^
Should be interesting to see Ohio State against quality competition. I'm atleast still a little bit skeptical about them.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:58 PM ^
know who to effing root for either, man this is a really tough one.
well I guess I'll root for ohio cause the B1G needs it so that people don't say we're an over rated conference and I hate Duke for like ever for some damn reason.
Not impressed by Amir Williams at all, and to think I was upset he didn't go to U-M, whew, I guess Beilein truly is a better talent evaluator than myself and most others reading this.
M & Indiana are 2 best teams in conf. and it reminds me of the 70's & 80's and even early 90's
November 28th, 2012 at 9:59 PM ^
Think our best bet is Illinois though OSU is acquiting itself well.
On ESPN they keep saying you need seven to win the challenge.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:02 PM ^
Was really surprised that Virgina beat Wisco in Madison. Usually Wisco is unbeatable there and Virginia did not make it to MSG in the NIT Tip-off.
Also did not except MSU to blow it in Coral Cables.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:03 PM ^
not have the last place teams in each conf from the previous season be able to play in challenge so that there is no chance of a tie
November 28th, 2012 at 10:08 PM ^
November 28th, 2012 at 10:08 PM ^
maybe that says more about the teams they beat like Louis, KY, Minn and VCU then anything else.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:09 PM ^
To be fair this is their fourth games in seven days against some pretty good teams that you named.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:15 PM ^
but I'm just coming from an eye test standpoint, you know?

November 28th, 2012 at 10:13 PM ^
win apparently
November 28th, 2012 at 10:13 PM ^
Those are my numbers.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:27 PM ^
November 28th, 2012 at 10:29 PM ^
i predict they will be
4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42
November 28th, 2012 at 10:12 PM ^
The Duke starting 5 looks the same every year -- 2 white guys, 2 black guys and 1 lumberjack.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:14 PM ^
Osu looks better than I expected. I agree with their top 5/10 status. Thomas has been on the bench since the 10 minute mark and they have kept up their lead.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:14 PM ^
against ohio. they are capitalizing on every questionable duke pass/dribble.
November 28th, 2012 at 10:18 PM ^
Two observations:
1. Mason Plumlee reminds me of Ivan Drago.
2. Ohio's defense looks awesome.
Conclusions:
1. I can't root for Duke because I can't root for a Communist.
2. Ohio scares me because they look like the long and lean team that will give us fits.

I know I'm biased but I think our offense can score on anyone. But, it was a bit disconcerting seeing us struggle against the pressure at the end of the NC State game. Ohio is athletic enough to bring that for the whole game
November 28th, 2012 at 10:38 PM ^
I'm not gonna lie, Michigan offense looks very good and their is only on Craft. Hardaway and Burke are gonna be deep threats but the key for Michigan is the development of Mitch Mcgary #4. He's got a lot of growing to do but I'll be looking for Michigan's frontcourt development throughout the year. Michigan has a very legit team!
