I've been sick the last few days, but Im thinking about cracking either a Dales Pale Ale or an O'Dells IPA to help me get through the second half....

Even so called wine experts typically can't tell the difference between cheap and expensive wines if they haven't tasted them before. Been proven in many blind taste tests. So if you find something cheap that you like, just go with it. The people that pretend they enjoy only "fine wines" are the suckers.

The toughest part of this week, going back to the Indiana game on Tuesday, is that the current round of medication makes drinking actual things that I would like to drink during this game a non-starter. You can't wash away the game with just sparkling grape juice - doing so only makes me strung out because of the high sugar content. I suppose that will have to do.

Larkin is a hockey STUD---he just scored another Red Wing goal!

(Edit: Islanders followed a couple minutes later with a goal, but Detroit still leads 5-1 with 11 minutes left in the 3rd.)

From New Belgium.

Also just watched the signing with the stars video, anyone notice that at the end they scrolled the names of the recruits across the big screen on the stage and one of them is Keyshon Camp? Does that mean we expected to flip him and it didn't happen? Or just a weird random error? (It is at 2:25:22 of the video).

table, with family singing along.  oldest son/son's team had a fine hoops game earlier today.  bbq burgers in a light snow and drinking some red pop, 'hand - red blend'.  homemade pumpkin chocolate chip muffins meet or exceed minimum standards.  early to bed.  grateful.
