My thoughts are that his pitching profile has completely changed since he's come to Detroit. His K rate has almost doubled, which is unexpected and has made him much more of an effective pitcher. If he can keep striking out guys at the rate he has been, he should continue to pitch well. His career numbers don't bear this out, but for Detroit's sake I hope he can.

Fister has been dirty tonight. Actually, he's been real good both of his last two starts.

Let's just get him some run support. I don't like how the White Sox continue to creep around behind us in the standings... a win tonight would be nice.

This is the fastest baseball game I've ever watched.  And Fister is 66.7% of the way to historic.  I really hope we score at least one run if that is still happening.

This will likely be one of the best pitched games by any pitcher in our division all season, and I'll be really pissed if he gets a loss for his efforts.

They have not been playing good all-around baseball the past 3 games.  They are either hitting well and pitching like garbage, or pitching well (tonight) and barely hitting.

it was either his first and second start, he got bombed in that one. He has been very good since that game though. He is 3-1 with a 3.45 ERA in his starts with the Tigers.

Fister is a  Sabre-metrician's wet dream. The guy has all the the advanced stats in his favor, had the worst run support in the majors in Seattle, and now he's got a team that has offense to bring to his back (tonight not withstanding). The Tigers may have gotten a steal in getting this guy. He's not going to be Greg Maddux, but I think he's the dependable #3 starter the Tigers have been looking for since Bonderman washed out.

Fister may be the second best pitcher on the staff at this point.  He has had a solid year and has been very reliable since he was obtained.  The same cannot be said of Scherzer, Porcello or Penny.

At the game tonight. Loved the fister deal from day one. Also, I've been to ten games this year and have seen three no hitters reach at least the seventh inning. It's been a blast this year that's for sure
