OT: Detroit Sports Sunday

Submitted by Mich_Faithful on

It's Sunday and the Tigers and Lions are playing.  Yes it's suppose to be no OT while football is in session, however these are likely the sports teams many are looking forward to anyways nowadays.

So feel free to use this for both games, at least will cut the OT topics from 2-1.

Detroit Lions vs Buffalo Bills: 1pm

Calvin is active, and waddle will be back this week.

Tigers vs Orioles: 3:45pm (don't blame those who don't want to watchi this either.

Price vs. Norris

Ian Kinsler 2B
Torii Hunter RF
Miguel Cabrera 1B
Victor Martinez DH
J.D. Martinez LF
Alex Avila C
Nick Castellanos 3B
Andrew Romine SS
Don Kelly CF

Also if there are any fantasy football questions, why not let em fly.

(attempted) bunt proves the stupidest move in baseball. Baseball managers & traditionalists insist it's crucial part of smart baseball, but there are charts online that show in almost no situation, in terms of inning, bases, out, & score, does it increase probability bunting team wins

Well, I for one was far more devastated on Friday so these last 2 days have seemed rather tame compared to what I had expected.

Goodbye to Max, I'll miss seeing you start every 5 days, but I won't miss what $ you expected that can be spent on fixing the multitude of problems the Tigers have at platoon positions and bullpen arms.

So help me god if the Tigers don't offer Victor the moon to return I might lose all hope in Dombrowski, he's worth whatever $ he'll command on the open market, so pay him. Personally I'm not sure what they'll do with Torii, the free agent OF list is fairly shitty so they might have to keep him around for another season.

Trade for a CF, sign bullpen arms, find the next Marcus Thames off the bench and profit?

What would it take to bring in Giancarlo Stanton ? I'd like to sign Martinez but he only has a few seasons left so Stanton could be a long term option and I doubt miami can keep him .

I really don't understand sending a guy with a grand total of 5 at bats on the season up when your season is hanging in the balance. Don't see how Romine or Suarez aren't better options.

I was wondering the same thing and it will be talked about all week on every sports station in detroit. Suarez was the starting short stop most of the season Perez never had a chance to get brought up but the pinch hit with him anyways. Very strange decisions all post season by ausmus.
