OT-Desean Jackson makes surprise visit to bully victim
I just watched this video on yahoo and had to post it. It is about a 13-year old kid who was bullied by 7 teens and hung on a fence. I have always felt that Desean Jackson was a showboat (fumble incident a few years back), but after watching this my respect for him has gone up considerably. Way to make a bad situation a little less negative.
Also, good for the poor kid to come on TV and talk about his experience which must be tough.

it was strange. My office suddenly got really REALLY dusty as I was watching the video.
Kudos to D-Jax.

I saw it on ESPN I think, got very dusty in my living room as well. I even reminded myself that it's the fucking View... the dust stayed around.

That is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. Wow.
He was part of one of my favorite commercials (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCJNMKDzdWg), too, where the paperboy throws him a newspaper.
Great find and post, thank you.

The look on the kid's face when Jackson walked in was priceless.

After reading the thread title, I thought he stopped by to bully a victim of some kind.

Good for those players to step in for such a good and serious cause. This is happening more and more, and maybe seeing these role models and stars step up and address the problem can help in the long run. The look on the kids face is priceless and really makes it easy for me to cheer these 3 players on in the future.

just saw this on ESPN, awesome that he pulled off the jersey and signed it right there for the kid, i think thats way cooler , even if staged, than just carrying it out and handing it to him.
Nice Job DeSean

This post made my day, and I really appreciated your putting it here. This kind of off topic is the best kind. It is just great to see guys supporting kids this way. At the end of the day, I don't care whether someone is playing for a team I hate . . . even tOSU or Little Brother or ND. I am happy to cheer on guys who get it, players who provide inspiration, not just on the field but off the field. Thanks again.

If any of you have seen the video of the kid gettin bullied...it's gruesome. I don't know how humans are capable of that. Good to see that kid get a pick-me-up

Thanks for the post. I passed it along to a few people myself. I'm a DeSean Jackson fan now.

I've never liked Jackson because of his behavior on the field, but that was a really incredible moment. I definitely have a lot more respect for him after that. And I absolutely have a lot of respect for that kid.

good for djax. feel really bad for the kid.

Jackson gave Khoury the jersey off his back (literally) and let him know that if he ever needed help, he and his two lineman had his back.I'd love to see a NFL Films production of players spending their offseason lurking at high schools. Some punk tries to rough up another kid for lunch money and boom, middle linebacker out of nowhere with a bone crushing hit.

This reminds of the Dick's Sports commerical with Suh lurking behind some shelves. Only this time he would go charging into a group of punk teenagers, sending them flying like bowling pins. At least one of these bullies will squeal like a pig just before impact...too much?

What a sweet kid. Fucking bullies. I'm glad the kid got to meet his favorite player. That was pretty cool.

I mistakenly read the caption "Desean Jackson makes surprise visit to bully victim" to mean "Desean Jackson makes a surprise visit [in order] to bully [a] victim." That would have been a terrible story.
Glad I was wrong. This is a great story.

That was some of the worst allergies I've had in a while. Man, my eyes were watering. Good thing that allergy attack ended when the video ended.
