Not worth the trouble.  Talent alone is worthless and it's likely he'll never come close to his potential.  Plus, he's an A-hole.

Yes, I know him. Dad played with him at Handy. Last time I saw him was before the Michigan game against UConn. He was still a sheriff in Washtenaw Co. at the time and I still believe he is. Great guy.

I was from Essexville. Rooted for Elzinga to play over Leach. Boy had a rifle for an arm. Rooted for all the Bay City boys M  has had. Thought Moltane from Central would be awesome. Missed Elzinga's start when Franklin was sick because I was playing for Garber and had a scrimmage. If Z had come around when Bo found the pass he might have been awesome.

I am Glennie, but those Friday nights back in the late 70s and early 80s when there was still a Handy High, and you had Central with it's massive enrollment.  That rivalry was one of the most intense anywhere.

I remember restaurants being lined up out the door on Friday nights in the fall when you had a few of the local teams hosting games. That's pretty amazing for a town of 50,000 or so people.

Great point Nate. Definately isn't that way any longer. The addition of BCW, the decreasing population of Bay City, and the school of choice policy within the county, has left BCC with little to work with. The days of Elmer Engle Stadium being packed with a meaningful game being played within, I am afraid are behind us. Might be time for a coaching change there too.

...it wasn't Cabrera.

As for Delmon, like whatever, I don't think this is really all that big of a deal.  It would be nice if he wasn't out drinking but it's not like others (including myself) haven't pulled similar shenanigans at some point.

He scratched my arm. I think I'll call 911 because my buddy recognized him as a baseball player and maybe I'll get some money out of it.

...is everywhere! I need proof that M-Gib wasn't there with him. What a piece of crap. Even if those guys had it coming (and if true), the digression into racist reflexive diatribes is a nonstarter for any possible mitigating factors.

This has the potential to be a very ugly incident for Young... it already is actually.  This going down in NYC, with his history of issues, alcohol and injuries to the other parties involved etc.  This may be the end of Delmon as a Tiger.

semi OT, I just read an article yesterday how his bro Dimitri has become a very astute baseball card collector.  He also had his off field issues.

Can't be drunk at 9am, can't be drunk at church or your childs school plays.  Can't be drunk and drive a car fast, like anyone drives 130 sober.  If they didn't want you to drive drunk at 130 they wouldn't make cars that go that fast.   Can't be drunk and pick up hookers at 10pm.  For god sake don't get drunk and try to hook up with your friends mom, everyone knows that her and their dad are on the rocks.   What do you expect a pro ball player to do watch tv and go to bed at a reasonable time?

Big deal! He called someone a F'n Jew! Cry me a river. I also find it funny how bashing a Jew has it's own title, instead of it just falling under the racism category. Sick of how this country caters to Jews. Only reason this is a big deal is because the media is ran by Jews and there is a ton of them in New York. Get him back on the damn field asap. Every single one of us have dealt with some kind of slur before.
