OT: Delivery

Submitted by Zone Left on

My wife is out of town this weekend, and I'm having a quiet night at home with the dog and a couple of beers.  Unfortunately, I've run into a problem.  I'm out of beer.  I finished the scotch last week and I don't keep any other liquor.  I've had too much to drive, but I'm not quite drunk.

If I was really hungry, I'd order a pizza.  Hell, if I was a sick asshole with an intense desire to get an STD I could order a "friend" on Craigslist.  However, I can't order beer or liquor.

What else would you order for delivery if it was available?

I guess this is an advantage of living in a place like NYC.  This happens to me on occasion, so I can walk to the bodega right across the street, and scoop up some beer.  Right now I have 4 anchor steams left in the fridge.  I'm hanging out and reading my Hail to the Victors '10 guide.

for even hinting that there was a chance you ever drove under the influence, especially giving an excuse for it.

Too drunk to walk? Call a cab and crawl to it. Too drunk to crawl? Hide your valuables and pass out where you are.

Seriously. Had more than one beer in the past hour? Get your keys away from you any way you can. Throw them away. A new set is a lot cheaper than a DUI.

I lived in Atlanta for a year.  Depending on where you are there certainly are bagel shops.  Are they as good?  Well, they're close enough.  Einstein bagels, there are also a lot of NY transplants there, so I'd go to Buford highway and check out the international groceries (yes, because we Northerners are THAT foreign.)

That's what you get for not planning ahead.

Not to rub it in or anything, but right now I'm drinking an ice cold beer, and my wife is in the shower preparing herself for an "All In for Michigan" night, if you know what I mean.
