OT: Dee Hart out for the year. Again.

Submitted by ChuckWood on

Dee Hart had torn his ACL again and will be out for the rest of the year.  Very unfotunate for the kid.  Especially since he was sidelined last year as well.  Hope he has full recovery.

Edit: Only posted due to Dee being a former commit.  Plus our fan bases obsession over him the last few years.

Oh man. Torn ACLs suck; I can't imagine what it would be like to have to go through all that rehab twice! I also echo your hopes for a speedy recovery.

This kids talent was very promissing.  I hope he can recover and start some day.  It doesn't seem likely but he's a special player.  Very explosive and would have atlease kept contributing on special teams.  Hard to lose a guy like that 2 years in a row.  Well, maybe not for Alabama.

Two years in a row is terrible. Bad break for him. Here's to a full recovery. What a luxury Bama has having a 5 star 4th string rb at the beginning of the year.

His recruiting film was more fun to watch than almost any Michigan recruit I can remember not named Fitz Toussaint.   Tremendous talent.

I literally watched 5 minutes of football on Saturday. He fielded a punt, tried to make a move, but was quickly smothered by the defender. He laid there for a bit, they showed the replay, and you could tell it was a torn ACL. But then he hopped up and was barely helped off the field. Here's to wishing a quick recovery for Dee.

Hart was worse but I don't think either would have been program changing.  I never believed that Dix had anything more then a passing interest in Michigan, while Hart would have stayed committed if RR stayed.  With Fitz and the backs we're bringing in we are fine at RB and with WIlson already here and Dymonte on his way we're fine at deep safety.  I actually think the most damaging de-commit or lost commit from the RR fallout was Jake Fisher.

Dee was the bigger lost, mostly because I don't believe we ever had a shot at HaHa.  But in terms of which player I'd rather have, it's HaHa even if Hart didn't have the injuries.  He's already a starter (or close to it) on a very good defense, and we have a bit of a question mark at safety after Kovacs leaves.  Yes, Wilson has promise, and Dymonte should be good too, but they'll still be young next year, and HaHa would be an upperclassman.  It would be awesome if our starters at safety next year were HaHa and then the best of Gordon, Wilson and Dymonte.  And then even better the next year, likely.
