Maybe he chided them at first, just like all the other scholarship players did, but through shared experiences (when Saban locked him up down there for a night), he started a friendship with one of them. I know for a fact that he was close to being one...
He and Saban aren't seeing eye to eye. I've heard that from multiple people. Dee was thinking about transferring a couple times this year.
With that said, if he can backup Lacy next year as the #2 and get some shine...he'll be fine.
If not, it's always sunny in Arizona.

I always thought that would be a bad mix - Hart seemed like a spread guy and Saban is all about cutting guys the minute they get hurt. I figured once Hart blew out his ACL, it was a matter of time that rumors like this started to swirl. I wish the kid the best, but if these rumors are true (and yeah, dubious internet post rules applied), it doesn't really surprise me.

What makes a tailback a "spread guy"? The basic responsibilities of the position - carrying the ball, pass-protecting and catching passes in the flat - don't vary much from spread to pro-style. The only really significant difference I see is that in a running spread offense, the tailback often has to serve as a lead blocker for the QB.
