A blast from the past. I know we only talk about players that play at Michigan, but found this rumor interesting. Also, a RB I believe just flipped to Alabama this week. Thoughts?

Saban is such a likeable guy, I doubt it.

I dunno, that board wasn't exactly helpful, it got locked before anyone posted anything. However it wouldn't surprise me to see Dee not work out there
If you're doing nothing, how do you know when you're finished?
If he ended up at Arizona with Rich Rod. Would probably be the best place for him, Rich Rod would turn that kid into a star.
Saban is probably urging him to go elsewhere after that ACL tear.
"It hurts. Right? That's gotta be painful. I don't think you can ever play again. Right? Please tell me I'm right. Great! I just heard about this cool thing called a medical hardship..."
I don't think this is thread-worthy. There are a million reasons for why a college player could go home for a week. This is nothing but adding fuel to rumors.
Since we're talking about things that were not supposed to talk about can I start the rumor he's going to transfer to Arizona to be reunited with Rich Rod?

Would I be naked or would they be naked? Just curious.

Yes.

Great question. Everyone's naked.
Let's see: Go west, young man. It's a dry heat. Rita's nachos are waitin'.
storage locker underneath Bryant-Denny where Saban keeps all the recruits who don't work out. Maybe he chided them at first, just like all the other scholarship players did, but through shared experiences (when Saban locked him up down there for a night), he started a friendship with one of them. Maybe Hart has started to see their side of the story. Maybe he's thought of... setting them free...
If he's in the dog house with Saban, might we see a transfer to UA with a former coach he once committed to? If he had to sit out a year, it would give him another year to strengthen his knee.
a raise from Saban. This is common in the SEC

Maybe he just realized that he plays for the kind of guy who would step over a convulsing, soon-to-be-hospitalized player and not say a word or try to help him. Maybe not.

Perhaps there should be some way to track how truthful a coach is... like in the NCAA video games.
It seems that every year coaches lie their asses off to recruits and never suffer repercussions.
Tenim un nom el sap tothom. Barca, Barca, BAAARCA!
The southern media. You won't see an Alabama paper go after the Tide the way we saw the Free Press go after Michigan. It's like the 1950s down there in terms of looking the other way when athletes/coaches misbehave.

I posted about two weeks ago that I had read and heard several times in the span of a few days that Dee Hart would not be enrolling at Alabama in January. I wondered if we would get after him since the kid from Ohio isn't coming.
Once Dee blew out his knee, I had a feeling he'd be a roster trimming target for Saban's oversigning tactics. Shame.
I know for a fact that he was close to being one...
He and Saban aren't seeing eye to eye. I've heard that from multiple people. Dee was thinking about transferring a couple times this year.
With that said, if he can backup Lacy next year as the #2 and get some shine...he'll be fine.
If not, it's always sunny in Arizona.

Play this year?
What?. Don't care fuck it.

Honestly, who does Nick Saban get along with?

Just curious . . . would Hoke/Borges recruit a RB like Dee Hart, or was the appeal strictly an RR thing?
M'Dog
I always thought that would be a bad mix - Hart seemed like a spread guy and Saban is all about cutting guys the minute they get hurt. I figured once Hart blew out his ACL, it was a matter of time that rumors like this started to swirl. I wish the kid the best, but if these rumors are true (and yeah, dubious internet post rules applied), it doesn't really surprise me.
What makes a tailback a "spread guy"? The basic responsibilities of the position - carrying the ball, pass-protecting and catching passes in the flat - don't vary much from spread to pro-style. The only really significant difference I see is that in a running spread offense, the tailback often has to serve as a lead blocker for the QB.
Ce la vie.
