OT- DeAndre Jordan Hostage Crisis/Sleepover

Submitted by Yostbound and Down on

Long story short: So a couple days ago Clippers free agent center DeAndre Jordan said he was going to sign a contract with the Mavericks.

Then today the Clippers decided they really wanted him back. So Doc Rivers and a few of the Clippers players came over to DeAndre's house...and are staying with him until midnight tonight when the free agency deadline ends (or something, don't know).

Which is basically a hostage situation to prevent Mark Cuban/the Mavs from stopping by. Or a friendly slumber party with your old (and future?) teammates. Weird. The NBA is really weird.

Also this tweet is pretty funny:

Sources: Cuban is beside himself. Driving around downtown Dallas begging (thru texts) Jordan's family for address to DeAndre's home

He doesn't need to be Shaq, he's the third best player on the team. And he's young enough that he can still develop some offensive game. He's basically the same player as Dwight Howard, but three years younger. He'll be in his prime for a while.
